What game has the coolest user interface/main menu?

Whaaaaat? I hate Child of Eden's menu. Especially compared to how elegant REZ's is. Design aside, the fidelity of it isn't even good.

Is Child of Eden worth playing without Kinect? Threads like this always get me interested.

Absolutely. I didn't have Kinect, and I had a blast. I played it on Kinect at a friend's house on his 70+" TV, and while it was nice I didn't enjoy it any more or less, personally.

Blazblue: Calamity Trigger had an awesome main menu. So good. And then they ruined it in Continuum Shift.

Post titles you fools. We don't all know every game just by looking at it, especially when you title your image "untitled.png".

FF13 is my favorite this gen, just because of the awesome CGI animation when you go to a character screen. I wish I hadn't sold this I want to replay it =(

Dead Space's holograms are my choice. That's a tremendous amount of info you can access without breaking out of the game.

I always really like Riddick's rusted steel menu cube. That thing was dope.

My friend saw Skyrim's constellation character sheet for the first time last night and was blown away. He remembers old school pen and paper D&D sheets and remarked on how far the genre has progressed to be at the point we are now.

I really liked the main menu for Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. It rotated through a few different backgrounds with dynamic elements and they all looked really cool.

Hard Reset possibly has one of the worst Main Menu's I have ever had the displeasure of using. Takes forfuckingever to get to each menu. It guess it looks kind of cool.

My favourite:
Any Valve game. Simple, elegant and responsive.

Most of the best ones have been mentioned I reckon...

but I would like to tip my hat to Peace Walker on PSP. Some really nice informational design happening in that game's menus.

Great choice, man. Very subtle, very cool. I loved the highway one with the pop song.

IO really cracked the mood in K&L2.

Bad Company 1. Main menu not only changed the image based on your single player progress it also changed the tone with new music.

I am partial to the menus of the Smash Bros. games:

Everything is spelled out big and neatly, with no distractions, an awesome musical score in the background, and if you turn the C-stick you can see it in 3D.

Really dug the Mirror's Edge menu, I loved it's straight up serene view of the city. L.A. Noire's looked damn cool as well and really fit the tone.

Portal 2 is probably my favorite in terms of usability. Stylistically, I really enjoyed the interfaces in the Metroid Prime games and in Persona 4.
