Agreed. SA1 was a much better game outside of the Chao Garden. The fact you're forced to do shitty emerald hunting and shooting before even doing more running stages in SA2 is what ruined the main game for me.

I never made it past the beginning tutorial of LBP before I got bored. Jumping physics were shit too.

Yep.
And it doesn't really get much better than the tutorial level in both LBP or LBP2, btw. In fact, come Chapter 4 in LBP2, the game stops being solely a platformer, and the final boss is meh. I look at it more as a tool for creativity and user level design than anything else.
