What is the absolute worst, most blatant Mobile carbon-copy of another game?

ORIGINAL SONIC CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL

Its gameplay is also a Tiny Wings clone.

Dude in the back has gone Super Saiyan.

Capcom sued and lost to Data East over Fighter's History saying it copied Street Fighter too closely.

Seems pretty tame compared to the stuff in this thread though.

The app stores need to crack down on this blatant stealing. IOS and android have rampant clones but still allow them to publish games.

Well, can't top that one OP, however, I'll still toss in something that Marvelous showed us in the Dragon Poker thread. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=116919068&postcount=262

Lord of Poker, where do I start with you? Oh! I know!: UI, dungeon select, starter card, battle screen and more were all the same and I was convinced it was the same game, almost. They did decide to make their own stuff for it, music and art, which I'm proud to say is ass.

Move over ugly stick!
Aawww yeeeeehhh ggurrl.

OMG I loled at that Mario 64 failed attempt to clone, but hey, there's a lot of people offering to pay for "clone" videogames even more if they are popular in some forums I use to visit for finding clients (I do game art and so). It's a common practice indeed, I don't even know how can a PROFESSIONAL do so for some bucks

Cloned Blek. Gamespot actually had an article about this game today.

That's not some fancy nickname gamers have given it, that's actually what the game's called. Granted Blek isn't as known as Mario 64, but still I think it gets points for just straight up saying it's a clone in the title.

I don't understand. Is this a proper Sony Patapon game on iOS, or an incredibly blatant clone?

Sony didn't have anything to do with it. This was Yoshida's response to finding out about the game

And this is the description of the game

When a game establishes a new kind of gameplay, how many "clones" are allowed before it is considered a "genre"?

The King bubble games are only clones of Puzzle Bobble as much as any modern FPS is a clone of Wolfenstein/DOOM/Halflife.

You're right, some of the examples in here uses same art style on top of gameplay. My example should be more heavily inspired than ripped-off.

Blockshift.

Pushmo clone? Pushmo clone. It even works with the Pushmo QR codes.

There's also a game that literally steals Yoshi.

I recall the developer being shouted at and going "we got that model from a library and didn't know that it was a copyrighted character", sounds kinda unbelievable considering how famous the Mario series is. They did replace the character model afterwards though.

Back in the day, I used to practice creating game art with existing sprites and such. I was 13. Of course, I never published or tried to earn money off that shit. These guys have no shame.

Wow, I was going to come in the thread and say Dante's Inferno but holy shit, every game posted in here has that game beat.
