What is the status of your next-gen pre-order?

XSX from amazon, delivery November 10th

PS5 Digital Edition from amazon, delivery November 19th

I always order my consoles from amazon and have yet to receive one with delay. Their delivery dates are always on point.
 
My target order for ps5 still shows November 13th-18th. I'm gonna try to get an in-store order at Target on release day and give the one being shipped to a friend.

Hope so. I've tried the 'update shipping speed' trick and still get the same standard they will inform me with a date when available. I've heard others have done so and got their confirmed date, but heard that is just a glitch and its the same for everyone.

My WoW shadowlands collector's edition didn't update until they date before it shipped so I guess no reason to get worried. If we don't have dates by the end of the week/weekend then I'd say start accepting the reality we won't get our consoles on time.

It will not hurt anything. We're a week before they ship you anything anyway. The only thing it does is allow you to change from 2 day to something else. You couldn't do this for something already processing. It's not really "helping" anything either. Cuz there's no guarantee.
 
Did the change shipping thing and my headphones and charger updated to have a shipping date. Did it for console and no change.

I also did your trick! :) Thank you.
It showed estimated delivery for XSX was Nov 10, but PS5 - didn't work. I went back after saving though - still just shows "will email", and not a promise - but made me feel a bit better. :D

Allegedly , Target will have a small amount per store for online order to pick up in store/curbside... midnight CEST in the U.S. (and maybe Canada?).
 
XSX thru MS website. Received confirmation email with order #. Says card will be charged when shipped. No emails since.

Though excited I got a pre-order, nervous/skeptical that I'll have one on launch day. Hahaha.

Situation is changing every day in France.
So I don't know but I should be able to pick them up at the store since they are already paid.

it is stressful.
 
European tier 2 peasant from France here, so my status is fucked, like Norman Reedus said in Death Stranding (I mean I have to wait 7 more days than Americans).

My PS5 will arrive from Amazon Germany on November, 19th.

My plan B is another one preordered from Amazon France, but it's planned on 24th, so I'll probably cancel that one.

GameStop sent me an email reminding me to double check my payment info just in case I had an error for my PS5 bundle.
Go to their website and still showing in progress.
 
Looks like both of mine at Best Buy are on track. XBSX is pickup on the 10th. The PS5 is being shipped and says shipping on 11/12 =(
 
Locked in both systems, but going to cancel the Xbox in the next few days, there is just nothing about the series x I'm excited about, I'd just be buying it for the sake of it.

PS5, spare dualsense and Astrobot should keep me busy for a few days, then Ratchet will be the first game I pick up post launch.

Why not scalp it to some rich kid's parent on ebay?

I'll keep checking this thread to see if anyone gets an update on the Amazon Ps5. Mine is still in the we will email you state.
 
In Australia, PS5 launch console confirmed at EB Games. Just need to pay the balance. Was impossible to get an Xbox there.

Xbox Series X console was confirmed at Target Aus, and the full AUD $749 was taken. Then 8 days later I got an email saying order cancelled and was refunded. So cancelled. Thanks Target.

Luckily I had no faith in Target, so got a second Xbox Series X order at Amazon AU, which I got in the 90 seconds or so orders were open. Just says "not yet shipped" and "we'll email you a delivery date", but they emailed me a couple of days ago saying "This email is to confirm that stock for your *order number* for Xbox Series X Console has been secured." I think said delivery date email won't come until it ships.

It is exactly the same for me. I am more than satisfied with Amazon.

A few years ago I pre-ordered the deluxe disc version of Forza 4 Horizon and it didn't arrive for release. So Amazon sent me the download voucher for the game (~100€) and I was able to keep the game when it arrived 2 days later. And this is only one of the many positive experiences with Amazon.

You might not believe me, but there are no Xbox preorders here from most major shops, only PS5. It's been the case actually since early xbox. Most Xbox's are coming from the US market, gray market, and demand is pretty low here. I might manage to grab one if wanted, but never bought one before nor need to honestly as if I see a great game on XSX I'll upgrade my card to 3080-3090 or 6800-6900 XT cards and play on my PC. If you don't have a PC, it's smarter to get XSX though, so I'm not suggesting that building PC is smarter, nor I play games on my PC currently but gaming PC's usually are wonderful for video rendering and other tasks. It's good to have it "gaming-ready" just in case. 3090 looks like a mild jump from 16GB HBM2 VRAM that's 1TB/s bandwidth on Radeon VII from productivity point of view.

Also I'm kinda crazy, if I go PC gaming I'll throw my 2019 PC and start over with a fresh build, just like car mods. Console keeps me humble and "sane". :lollipop_tears_of_joy:

ps5 is pushing ps4 prices down, so i may be upgrading my ps3 at some point. undecided on that one, since a heap of my ps3 games wouldn't work on ps4, i think...

... as for buying a ps5... some time next year if budget and game options allow
 
Waiting on amazon.de to take my money and send me my PS5. I was lucky enough to preorder so now I just have to wait for the 19th. (It's not easy)
 
A little bit of a scare as got a text from my bank saying they refused payment and to text back if it was me. Quickly rectified and paid on GAME.co.uk and now got confirmation email it's being packed :)
 
Xbox Series X preordered from Microsoft Store just charged my card today.
Playstation 5 Digital and Pulse Headset preordered from GAME UK still pending.
