I don't eat a lot of it, in fact I just started buying it again to have toast with my eggs in the morning and to stop eating tuna out of a can like a psycho - I allow myself a proper sandwich like a gentleman

Sticking with store bought overly processed stuff because I'm cheap and dont use it enough to get anything better

I enjoy Hillbilly bread. I can't tell if it tastes better or if I just love the packaging. Maybe both.

I'm like you, I rarely buy bread anymore except when I'm craving something that requires it (like BLTs).

(I also eat tuna out of a can! Gotta be the solid stuff, not the chunk).

I don't have a go-to brand, but I typically pick something w/out bleached enriched flour, after that it's based on price. I don't eat it enough to know if one brand tastes better than another.

Edit: Also, as a white person, I find that picture offensive. Time to cancel that shit!

I like the small thin sliced white bread for sandwiches and grilled cheese sometimes, though bigger rye bread also works well for GC.

I was buying sandwich buns for a while but I got lazy and it's just easier to buy a loaf of regular white bread.

Nature's own whole wheat. Used to eat a lot of manna's organic sprouted rye bread that tasted nice and sweet. I eat like 2 to 4 slices per day. Liked ezekiel as well, but it's too expensive. Sometimes I get trader joe's/whole foods once in awhile if I'm too lazy to get the nature owns one from the grocery store that sells it.

Cheap store brand, wheat or honey wheat. I never use but half the loaf before it spoils. Use to get fresh backed and it just seemed wasteful as it cost 3x and lasted 1/2 as long.

I hadn't had industrial bread in a decade and when I did it tastes so chemically that I nearly threw up. Disgusting stuff.

You can actually freeze bread if you eat it toasted.

But there are some ingredients you should definitely avoid calcium propionate an anti mold addative that has been linked to diabetes. It's in Sara Lee breads and other brands. Dave's bread is what I get, ingredients are fantastic and the company actually helps with actual causes not the bs flavor of the month that's trending on Twitter.

I buy french loafs from my local vietnamese pho restaurant because it's actual bread, not cake without frosting. When you taste bread not made with sugar it's a whole different ball game.

I live in the UK and I usually buy Hovis or Warburtons bread. Warburtons is really nice if you're having Toast. I like pretty much mostly anything though, I'm not picky. I don't mind White or Brown bread. The thick white bread is usually my favourite for Sandwiches.

Rye bread. If i'd ever leave my country it would be the food I would miss the most. It is glorious. Top it off with smoked vendace and sliced cheese. Yummy! Never tried the American way of white bread with peanut butter. Should give it a go someday.

I tend to buy a sliced white for toast etc during the week as it keeps, but I'm partial to some Crusty Rolls or Tiger Bread at the weekend. Salt and Pepper Tiger Bread is :messenger_ok:

Dave's Killer Blues bread is my favorite, but I try not to buy it too often for a couple o reasons. One, it's like a 140 calories a slice or something, it's fucking nuts in terms of calories and two, it's goddamn expensive. It's definitely my favorite store bought bread in terms of taste though.

If we're talking fresh, a dark rye from the bakery near me is the way to go. It's really strong, dense, nutritious, and seedy, and that's what I dig in my breads. Goes great with basically any meat and cheese. Kind of expensive for a loaf that goes bad in two days though :/

Not a lot anymore but when it's fresh and non-processed sourdough with variable dark grain content. Sometimes baguette.

You'd be hard pressed to find our quality of bread, I understand that.

I've gotten really into baking my own sourdough bread lately (on month 9 of my sourdough starter) but when I don't I try to find Rye bread at bakeries, since moving to Romania (from Norway) it's really hard to find though. I used to buy Danish Rye all the time (pictured below) in Norway but sadly can't find it here, really good slightly dense bread perfect for stuff like pates or even coarse peanut butter.
