Just got this one, marked down to 135$ from 220.
Solar powered, no need for a new battery supposedly ever or ~30 years. 25$ for the strap

The real question should be

Leather straps or steel??

I own both , but personally i think the Leather strap feels and looks much classier.

Depends on the watch doesn't it? If it has a classic/simple round face, I think leather works. If it's an elaborate metal watch then steel.

BTW, some of the digital watches in this tread are cool as ice. I might start looking into those.

I prefer leather, but then again I have fairly hairy arms.

I've gone through quite a few watches (everything from Citizen, Seiko, Panerai, Tag, Omega, Lum-Tec, to Sinn) over the past ~10 years trying to find something I liked. Ended up selling everything off but my 2 Omegas:

and a Speedmaster Pro

The only other watch I'd be interested in picking up would be a vintage Rolex Explorer (something similar to Edmund Hillary's watch/es).

Other than that, I'm extremely pleased with my Omegas, not only in their quality, but also due to personal reasons:
-the 61 was given to me by my father. He purchased it after landing a big promotion @ Lockheed, and subsequently gave it to me after I graduated from grad school
-the SpeedyPro...because it was worn in space/on the moon, and I have a deep nostalgia for all "mechanical" things from that era.

Urwerk UR-103T. Sat next to a guy during a show in Vegas who had this, and it looked 100% awesome. I asked him all about it, he was german and gladly told me a bunch. It's about $60,000 and he said they only make about 60 or so a year of them (not really hot sellers, but at 60 grand...) Anyways, the way it tells time is awesome, it's incredibly useful for driving without taking your hands off the wheel (of your super car, apparently), and, well, yeah. I liked it a lot, and I don't wear watches.

I don't think I've ever encountered a person who bought an Omega that wasn't a Seamaster or Speedmaster. I'm pretty sure I've never met anyone who had a Constellation or a De Ville.

EDIT: $60,000 on a watch? Goddamn. Suddenly I don't feel so bad about spending $4,000 on mine.

I love the backing on the older Constellations, especially the ones with the inset gold observatory.

Man, the guy was dressed sharply, he was with his family, seemed like every other guy in Vegas. But his watch just caught my eye and the smile on his face when I asked about it...

It was an absolutely badass watch.
