Devil's Third.
Breath of Fire IV is almost perfect graphically. I wouldn't change a single thing about it.
Plus other similar games like abes odysee and exodus.
Crash hands down
If we're talking 3D games-only, Kirby 64 takes the cake for me.
Devil's Third.
Wonder Project J2 on the Nintendo 64 still looks absolutely stunning.
[Screenshots taken from Darkangel's post on the thread "How much more powerful was the N64 compared to the PlayStation anyway?", page 21, made in 2012.]
We're talking about games that hold up graphically here.
Devil's Third.
3 pages and no Conker?!
Tetrisphere (N64) still looks hot.
The PS1 still had some of the best sprite work for the era imo. Especially megaman X4
Conker is even on the first page...
Crash Bandicoot 1-3 as well as Crash Team Racing hold up nicely...
Mario 64 and Smash are by votes for N64
Turok is unplayable for me though...it almost hurts
2D pixel art from the PS1 eraI think it's fairly common opinion that 2D pixel art from the 8 bit/16 bit era of consoles held up a bit better than PS1 or N64, but I want to hear what you guys think are games that stand above their peers from that time.
this game is going to look so good in Rare Replay
Im pretty sure it was a joke.
Now if only we could get bof3 for psp (digital) here in the states.I think mixed 2D/3D RPG visuals pretty much peaked with Breath of Fire 4.
Just gotta watch out for emulator screenshots that completely ruin the coherence between the 2D and 3D assets.
Oh yeah, Heart of Darkness still looks nice. I wonder whether I could get the PC version to run which I have somewhere
Plus other similar games like abes odysee and exodus.
I still think Vagrant Story looks good today. The artstyle and presentation is just fantastic.
