What was everyone's first computer and first computer game?

twelve pages and noone mentioned Waxworks.

I am not very sure whether this or Heretic was my first PC game and I am fairly certain I played games on my uncle's PC when I was much younger in the mid 80's but the one game I bought for me was waxworks,

Some shit Dell that came with a "Blazingly Fast" Nvidia 5200 FX card I think, came with a demo of Battlefield 1942 and full copy of Mafia. Loved it!

C64, but I'm not completely sure what was my first game. Probably something horrible and budget on tape. It took me ages to save up and the initial hardware investment left me with little for software.

My dad had computers with games from a very early age, but my first computer was a ZX Spectrum 48k with Dynamite Dan. Rapidly followed by Chuckie Egg 1 & 2...

I THINK mine was a BBC computer second hand from a family friend. It had a few games but I mostly played Joust.

It's either that, an Amstrad GX 2000 (discontinued when I got it and I therefore only had 1 game - "Burnin' Rubber" l) or maybe I could count the Acorn family computer with Zool, Lemmings and Lander.

Can't remember the computer, sadly. I remember going to my cousin's house to watch them play and getting so enthralled with the game. It took a few years but eventually I was able to get a copy of the game and its expansions and soundtrack, and really treasured them. Can still recite parts of the Soviet Mission 1 intro by heart lol.

And of course, Hell March for that added dose of nostalgia: such a good song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HUWUtTZvK4

RIP Westwood :(

Mine was a Packard Bell with a pentium chip running at 60MHz. It looked like this:

And the first computer game I ever played:

I remember it was a demo on win 95. I played the shit out of it before I got Tie Fighter (:

First computer tried (5/6 years old): Amiga 1200 plus fucking Shadow Fighter, best Amiga fighting game ever :3

First computer bought: a classic Celeron 466 mhz with 64 Mb di ram (if I remember correctly) and a S3 Savage 4 on-board :) And the joy of Quake 2, Doom 1+2 and Turok :3

I got in on this game late. My first PC was a IBM Aptiva from Nobody Beats the Wiz. It ran Windows 95. I remember the stats well, because of symmetry - 166mhz, 16megs of RAM, 1.6gb hard drive. I think it had a 1mb graphics chip.

My friend let me borrow a few of his PC games when I got it. I think the very very first game I played was Warcraft 2, and of course I was mesmerized. I definitely bought War2 after that, but I also played a lot of Duke 3D, Quake test, and Civ 2 that year. Pretty solid year for gaming in retrospect!

Pentium MMX 166 MHz
Matrox mystique 2MB card
Sound blaster
32 MB RAM
1,2 GB HD

It was a beast at the time. When my friends heared what I got they wanted to rush at my home.

Game : Under A Killing Moon. It blew my mind!

I remember the first PC my dad bought was a Pentium MMX 200.
Amazing enought, it came with Time Commando, Twinsen's Odyssey, Claw, and other great games with it.

First Pc was an Compaq Presario (386 or 486 dont remember)

The dang game came on a cassette tape!

YES

first game for us was Parsec.

I was so sad when I found out that my dad threw it out when they were moving and I was studying elsewhere. I found a guy selling it locally with a bunch of stuff, so I bought it. sitting in my game room now.

Can't remember my first computer that I used. My dad bought them when I was young of course.

However, this was my first game that I can remember.

Aces of the Pacific

My first machine was a secondhand C64 that I got for Christmas '90 with a 17" black and white telly, a tape deck and thirteen tape games. I can't remember them all now, but at least some of them were Cobra, Green Beret, Sooty & Sweep, Airwolf. My sister and I gathered around with our mother when I set it up so the first game I chose to play was Sooty & Sweep.

I still have a C64 on my desk to this day -

As well as a channel wherein I upload demos and other things I'm interested in or appreciate. Can't beat the SID chip.

Think it was a Hercules computer. Ran stardard at 8Mhz but pressing the turbo button made it ran at a whopping 16Mhz. Good stuff.

First games on there was some 2 player space game and a golf game. Spent quite some time playing those.

Windows XP, Road Rash with my pops. Shit was glorious, still hoping for an actual Road Rash sequel someday although Road Redemption seems to scratch that itch for now.

Cant remember the computor.

Wi did eventually buy a 486 sx 36 with 4 mb ram and I could pirate monkey island (bad pun intended) it was the best of times :) i love monkey island

Dragon32... a computer made in Wales. I bought it secondhand with a bag full of games, the first of which I played was Hungary Horace, which was a Pac Man type game.

386 machine. First game that was 100% mine was curse of the azure bonds. Created a love of rpgs that persists today.

First computer was an eMachines something-or-other.

First game was Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

And what a first game! Multiplayer on gamespy was awesome.

Pretty sure the old apple pcs that only did green and black were the first computer I used. The first computer I was given was a 386. First game was ghostbusters.

Amstrad CPC 464 Plus:

But outside of the built-in game, the first one I ever loaded up was Oh, Mummy!

Can't remember what the first computer was at my house, but the first computer game I remember playing was Jazz Jackrabbit in the mid to late 90s (I was about 4 or 5 at the time so can't remember if I played anything else but I do remember my mum being massively into Tomb Raider and I used to watch her play that)
