Mine was The Dark Knight during the first week of release.

Exactly my first BR.

I must admit, not many came afterwards. Digital distribution is so much better than having a disc lying around..

i'm not entirely sure, but it may have been blade runner: the final cut. i didn't even have a blu-ray player at the time.

I still have the Talladega Nights movie around here somewhere. I never even opened the case. I can't remember if it was sealed or not.

My Blu-Ray Player came with a few movies, all of which are still shrink-wrapped. I know one of them was a Batman movie, can't remember what the others were. I thought I might watch them eventually if I were sufficiently bored, but it's looking unlikely. I should gift them to someone.

If that doesn't count, All About Eve (as a gift) but it looks exactly like the DVD. F*cking rip-off.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, if I remember properly...

Don't own too many now. My library carries them. Only own Dark Knight trilogy, Scott Pilgrim, Dredd 3D, and...Requiem for a Dream I think?

I'm trying to remember for sure but I can't - I believe it was also the Dark Knight.

It wasn't my first HD movie purchase, though...that would be the pack-in 300 and Bourne Identity with my cheap HD-DVD player. Or, more insultingly, the fancy version of Blade Runner on HD-DVD, two days before Warner announced they were dumping that format.

Cloverfield and There Will be Blood. I bought them at the same time right after I got a PS3. I used to buy a DVD a week but right around that time that habit started dwindling, so I only own blu-rays for flicks that I really love.

One of the classic Disney animated films. Sleeping Beauty, I think.

It sold me on the format. Remastered Disney films look incredible on Blu-ray.

No blurays. Hell, I've only ever bought 2 DVDs (Meet the Feebles and Star Trek II.)

Have been thinking about those ST:TNG remasters though.

Great christmas gift or greatest christmas gift?

That's a pretty awesome Christmas gift. I'm pretty sure I picked up the same 5-disc Blade Runner collection on sale at Best Buy around Christmas 2007. This was before I even had a HDTV or Blu-ray player, but I was planning on going HD in the near future and, come on, it's Blade Runner. After that, it looks like the first two I purchased from Amazon after I actually had my new television were Kung Fu Hustle and The Road Warrior.

First Bluray I got was Ghost Rider as a gift from my mom, since she knew I liked Ghost Rider comics.

First Bluray I purchased was Event Horizon.

Casino Royale.

I imported a JPN PS3 and a few months later when it was released in the UK Sony sent me a free copy of Casino Royale on Blu-Ray.
