What's the oldest game that you still actively enjoy playing?

Just like it sounds...what's the oldest game that you can still sit down and play to this day and enjoy?

A lot of games hold fond memories for me, but often don't hold up.

The oldest game I still love is Robotron 2084, from 1983 I believe. Still the most intense, challenging and fun twin stick shooter I've ever played, and the sounds in this game are great. Arcade version is the best, but I also love the XBLA port.

Uh... I guess the first game I've ever played? Sonic The Hedgehog 1.

But if you say ACTIVELY, then I'd say the combination of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Streets of Rage 2 and Road Rash 3.

I haven't played it in a long time, but I could fire up the original Doom and still have a blast. Music, monsters, maps and mayhem all in one beautiful, bloody box.

Actively? Fallout: New Vegas (lol).

Dig-Dug. I can sit down just about anytime and happily try to beat my score. I never do mind you, but I'm happy to try.

I played Mega Man 1 (for the nes) for the 1st time last month. Never played a MM game before, but I really enjoyed it! It was simple but controlled well and the level/boss design was interseting too. I really have to get around to playing MM2 now.

This doesn't count, but I've been playing the remake of Flashback and have been having a blast.

For a while, it was Morrowind. Right now I don't really have a go-to-game that is older than 6 or 7 years old. Does feel kind of weird. That is what I usually do, go back to an old favourite.

Uh...wait. I guess it would be the GTA III trilogy. I keep forgetting that it is up to 12 years old, now. I replayed it this summer and I dust them off from time to time.

I don't play a lot of games from when I was a kid (back in the 80s).

Man, I would find it so hard to go back to the older GTA games now, mostly because of the shooting mechanics.

Actively? As in, regularly play often? World of Warcraft.

Actively as in, like, at least once every couple years? Probably....Mega Man X.

Loaded up Megamania (1982) on an Atari 2600 emulator the other day and found myself still playing it 30 minutes later. Was one of my favourite games as a kid and I still own it . Sadly, my original console's rc adaptor has bit the dust which is why I resorted to emulation.

Ms. Pac-Man, probably

When I see a machine in a bowling alley or a pizzeria I always put in a quarter if I have the time.

Super Smash Bros. Melee. Over the past five or six years, I've rarely gone more than two weeks without playing. And I've been playing since the day it came out, though it was more off and on from 2002-2007.

I also play through LoZ, LttP, and Super Metroid fairly often. Not nearly as consistent though.
