Nokia 3310 - 2003-2007
Some Samsung flip phone - 2007-2009
Blackberry Pearl - 2009 - 2011
iPhone 4 - 2011 - Present

Some old flip phone I don't remember
Samsung Galaxy s2
Samsung Galaxy s6

Currently thinking about getting a new phone, though I'm not really sure what it would be. And my s6 still works perfectly well so I don't have a compelling reason to replace it.

LG VX6100
Motorola Q
Palm Treo 650 (or similar model number)
iPhone
iPhone 3G
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
iPhone 4S
Samsung Captivate (for 2 weeks)
iPhone 4
iPhone 5
iPhone 6
iPhone 6S

Getting kinda burnt out on the frequent phone upgrade cycle at this point. I don't plan on buying a new one until my 6S doesn't work anymore. After that happens, I might switch to Android because I'm also kinda over Apple as well.

Sticking to smart phones because I don't remember the ones from high school.

iPhone 4
Galaxy S4
Xperia Z
Xperia Z3
LG G4
Note 5
Galaxy S7
Note 7
LG V10
iPhone 7 plus

I have T-Mobile jump on demand, but I'm not really feeling like getting a G6 or S8. Kind of seem like downgrades from the 7 plus honestly.

I'm waiting for an Android flagship with a second zoom lens like the 7+ or I'll wait for iPhone 8+.

in the smartphone era:

ZTE Blade (the first one, with impressive 512mb ram!)
Xperia U (broke after 2 weeks, droped it from under 1 meter...)
Lumia 520 (at this time the WP seemed like a not so bad bet)
HTC One X (stopped working after 1 year? bough it second hand though)
Lumia 640 (it seemed like a good idea, but the camera was not good as it was on the 520 comparatively, lack of apps was still huge, system was only good on W10 which would make it buggy and slow... I hated the phone every single day that I had it)
Nexus 6P (Got it and after a week gave it to my gf - who was stolen 4 weeks later)
OnePlus 3T (since Februay? awesome phone, absolutely no complaints)

never ever wanted an iphone. ZTE blade was probably the best value for its price, then come the OP3T (its hardware is superb so I hope it wont be lagging for the next years to come), then surprisingly the Lumia 520 that I even enjoyed having, despite the TONS of bugs with notifications.

Owned a Nokia 3510i for about 10 years, during which time it suffered all manner of abuse including slipping out of my pocket and falling a couple of stories onto my driveway yet escaping without a fucking scratch.

Finally caved in to the whole smart phone thing and bought a Lumia 920 which has been on its last legs for a while but is still bravely soldiering along. :*)

And um that's it. Two mobile phones in 15 years or so.

Seeing as Microsoft don't seem to have any plans for a Surface phone and Nokia don't really make smart phones any more, I've got no idea what my next phone will be.

Might just go back to my battle tested 3510i.

This is over the course of about 15 years.

Random flip-phone. I think it was a Motorola.
Random WindowsOS phone with a slide-out keyboard
Random flip-phone again
iPhone 5

I feel absolutely no need to jump from phone to phone. I keep them until they die.

Tbh I can't remember any of my childhood phones (except for a Nokia) so I'll just list my smartphones instead.

2011 - 2017:

- Galaxy S2 (passed it on)
- Nexus 4 (broke it)
- Nexus 5 (broke it)
- Sony Xperia Z2 (broke it)
- Huawei P8 (broke it)
- Galaxy S7 Edge (current)

I umm... break a lot of phones. Thankfully I'm taking real good care of my S7 Edge. ^_^

My faves would be the S2 (being my first smartphone and all), the Xperia Z2 (damn fine phone) and of course the S7E. In the future I might check out iPhones, but I'm not a huge fan of iOS so we'll see.

Personal: Some weirdo unheard of brand that my Parents bought me Christmas '98.
Work: Nokia 3310
Work: Some other Nokia thing.
Personal: Some Ericsson brick whilst between jobs
Work: Sony Ericsson T68i
Work: Nokia ... um ... N81?
Personal: iPhone 3G
Work: HTC Desire
Personal: iPhone 4
Personal: iPhone 5S
Personal: iPhone 6S
Work: Samsung Galaxy S7

I think that's all of them. I'm currently wielding the last two phones. I had the option of work taking over the contract for the 6S, but I didn't want my employer to have full rights to my phone as well being able to have the option of doing things like order more data when abroad. As I work in mobile games the S7 is basically my test device, it is way easier to deploy to Android than iOS in Unity.

some nokia i think - it was a hand me down from one of my parents i think. in high school i was very anti mobile phone for some reason, so i didnt get one until college was looming and i was given it anyway
motorola razr - what a sick flipphone. i actually had a lot of fun furiously text messaging on this thing in college
LG thrill - got this when my family switched plans to verizon, looking back on it, it doesnt really wow me in terms of being a great phone, but as i went through a bad relationship and shitty job it was a good phone to have for throwing at the wall. it never broke even though the battery flew out several times!
iphone 6+ - i gave up and got an iphone and now i like my giant phone

and thats my mobile phone life since 2005 or so

Sidekick 2
T-Mobile Dash
Motorola Droid
BlackBerry Storm
Galaxy Nexus
HTC One
Samsung Galaxy S6

I think that's roughly the order.

EDIT: Am I old or something? Nobody else had the Sidekick? That phone was the shizz.

iPhone 6s

Those old Nokia's we're awesome. Some days I wish phones were still that size.

Yeah it's a beast. Think I had it from 2001 to 2012/13 so 11-12 years. I think I've still got it lying around somewhere on my desk underneath all these papers and bits of junk and I bet it still works. A couple of the keys are difficult to press but other than that no problems.

Never had to charge it more than once every day or two as well, those were the days.

My first ever was a crappy Motorola flip from VoiceStream. I don't remember much about it--it might not even have been a Motorola.

After that was a Nokia candybar style (33xx series, had Snake on it).

Went through a handful of LG/Samsung flip phones.

Smartphones:
- Samsung Gravity SMART, a Froyo-based Android shit-fest.
- iPhone 5C, still works great and is my son's glorified iPod touch (he's 10, doesn't need a phone plan)
- iPhone 6 Plus, my current daily driver.

My 6 Plus is a goddamn tank. I don't have it in a case, I've dropped it on concrete multiple times, it's been in a car accident, and the screen is still in one piece. The aluminum body is nicked, but that's it. The only reason I'm looking to replace it soon is because the performance bottleneck caused by only having 1GB of RAM is starting to get more noticeable as more apps start assuming a 6S/7 baseline.

- one of those chunky Nokia phones, but with a color screen (2003-2005)
- Motorola Razr (2005-2008)
- Samsung Blackjack 2 (2008-2009)
- some pay-as-you-go phone (2009-2010)
- some basic Samsung flip phone, I can't remember the model. (2010-2011)
- iPhone 4 (2011-2013)
- iPhone 5 (2013-2014)
- iPhone 5s (2014-2016)
- iPhone 6s Plus (2016-current)

First phone was a big blue Nextel on boost Mobile, I miss the old push to talk system.

Then a flip phone that flipped up like normal and also hinged out like a book that you could turn sideways and type on a full keyboard, I loved that phone until I went swimming in the ocean with it in my pocket in Hawaii.

Then I got a Motorola razor, that phone was rad.

Then I had a couple blackberry's, I was reluctant to give up the physical keyboard for a few years.

First smart phone was an iPhone 3G.

Then an iPhone 4.

Then an iPhone 5.

Then made the switch to Android with a Samsung S6 edge. Had it about a year and a half - two years and got so fed up with the Samsung gimmicks and the horrendous battery life.

Went from that to the phone I have now, Google Pixel XL 128. It's so fucking nice, no gimmicks, stock android, amazing fingerprint reader. Love it.

Also over the past 9 years at my job I've had a bunch of different work phones, we started out all using nextels then when that phased out they started getting us iPhones, I've had the 4s and now the 5s for a few years now.
