Undercut got popular again in early 2012 from Jimmy in Boardwalk Empire

Now its pretty popular to have the full grown beard/tats/undercut

It's a nice looking haircut, but not good on everyone's head shape. If you have a round or triangular head it won't look as good.

Cutting/tapering the sides aggressively is a good look though on almost every haircut. So even if you don't have an undercut that will look good.

Yeah, I saw a making of thing one time that showed a TON of the different inspirations that were used in building Boardwalk Empire, and that was definitely a very popular haircut in the 20s.

Also, the modern "undershave" cut was huge in the 90's. So its re-emergence is probably a part of the cyclical nature of fashion which is generally 90s-ish right now anyway.

I think it's a pretty slick look, but it is reaching the point of saturation where too many dorks try to get in on it and it starts to lose that cutting edge appeal. It's almost time to jump ship for something new.

ponytail?

people really think of this as a "nazi haircut?" You know nazis also wore pants! I guess pants are nazi fashion.

also, i have my hair cut like that

i got it done based on some pics of Rihanna during her Rated R era

i love it and its very low maintenance. i need to go and get a trim though because its kinda dire atm

Damn, today I found out I'm #Normcore and cut my hair wrong. I must be like the quintessential douchebag of NeoGAF

That guy has the look I'm going for, can I pull that haircut off if I get it HairGaf??

Many football (soccer) players have it, i believe the particular hairstyle started gaining ground in Europe years ago and then spread

Its not the black guy from the 90s fade, its mostly done by white guys who leave hair on top, 4-6 cm, and shave the sides. Vox is used sparingly to mold the top

We call it "Elvis" hair, even though it isent, since its shaved on the sides, but it still retains the Elvis look.

There is no set way to do it, but the principles of 4-6 cm on top, and shaved sides, then you can do with it whatever you think works best for your head.

For americans, its basically the hairstyle Macklemore is running around with, it can often look like 1950's white sailor look, some can pull it off and others clearly not.

permed my GF's hair and gave her an undercut a couple weekends ago. i call it the high school boyfriend cut because most of the banger boys i hung out with in high school had that cut. wasn't it super duper popular in the 20's?
