When did Spiderman get so strong?

Would Spiderman win against Black Panther?

In a straight forward, serious fight, absolutely. But BP, like Cap, has more fighting skill than Peter does, and they don't mess around during fights. So in a deathmatch, Panther would get worked, but he'd have a puncher's chance at least in most other situations.

Didn't Peter Parker Spider-Man rip someone's face off recently?

I want to say he did it to Kraven or Kraven's daughter because they wouldn't stop fucking with Kaine

Kraven's wife actually. Put his hand on her face while using his power to stick to things, and then pulled back, making a hand shaped scar. That's basically what the whole Mark of Kain thing was supposed to be initially.

Yeah I used to have those. It was a number of cards detailing his powers if I remember correctly. He was lifting a car on the Spider Strength card I think.

Edit: I was way off. Here is the card.

Loved these;

Have a whole binder of these things.

These basically. He was a teenager when he got bit and continued getting stronger as he aged. Plus he is always holding back his strength to avoid collateral damage or hurting enemies too much, so you rarely ever see how powerful Peter ACTUALLY is.

FWIW he is probably #3 in the MCU behind only Hulk and Thor.

Isn't iron man stronger in his suit? Or is that just in the comic?

It was funny to see him toned down in Civil War. In reality, he's much faster and stronger than almost everyone on display.

His spider-sense didn't exactly seem to be functioning either.

I wonder how strong they'll make him in the MCU?

Somewhat unrelated, sorry, but does anyone happen to know which recent comic it was that Spider-Man beat up Iron Man in an impromptu, straight up fight?

I'm thinking Superior or Spiderverse, but I can't remember.

This is a scan from it, but I still don't remember.

Edit: Nevermind, it's the infinite digital comic called "Who Am I?"

I have a question

I have never read a comic but I'm super interested in spiderman at the moment and plan to watch some of the animated series.

Whats the best comic to start with? I'm hoping for a good story arc to be honest

Ultimate Spidey is great, but it's a different universe, so I don't know if you'll be into that. It's a fun ride for the first 100 issues or so.

In terms of the main universe, The Gauntlet, Grim Hunt, and Big Time got me back in. After that it falters a bit until Superior Spider-Man, which is a great primer for the All-New All-Different Spider-Man.

The new comic just titled Spider-Man, starring Miles Morales, is pretty good but there hasn't really been an arc yet since it's monthly and started February. At the risk of being super confusing, Spider-Man 2099 has been pretty good so far too. It's main universe, set in the present, and I like it more than the current All-New All-Different Spider-Man.

Iirc current Pete can do things like spider-fu wrassle with shang-chi without using spider-sense. His fighting skill got a considerable upgrade.

Kraven's Last Hunt is the best Spider-Man story ever....and probably the best Marvel story too.

But if you want some general good stories just start at the Stan Lee/Ditko era....those are classic stories. Even the stuff today isn't as good as those 60s stuff.

Would Spiderman win against Black Panther?

Spiderman wouldn't win if Black Panther has his King of the Dead upgrade.

Spiderman would beat Black Panther if he didn't have his King of the Dead upgrade in a straight fight. However, if Black Panther had prep time and his gadgets without his special ability. I could see him defeating Spiderman but it would be a tough match.

A personal favourite feat of strength:

What issue is this from?

Stuff from that era is just impossible to read nowadays, way too many exposition boxes and way to fucking many speech bubbles.

Good News
