Which game has the worst competitive scene?

Tekken Tag 2 was designed mainly so only a bunch of guys in green arcade in Korea can play it..so it deserves to fail imo..

Also the game gets no updates or new content to liven things up a bit.

Bloated and ,frankly, elitist game design game design coupled with unwillingness by developers to support the game.

I don't like that game much at all.Worst experience I had with Tekken.

The TF2 scene suffers from the fact that Valve wants it to be a casual FPS and not competitive like CS or Dota. They've added way to many broken weapons and terrible maps. It's been 2 years and they still haven't fixed a bug that causes players to be invisible. (thankfully you can still see their weapons and hats but it's pretty bullshit).

Quake is probably the worst from the stagnation scene. Now one cares about it anymore despite it being the best competitive game. 1v1s especially.

I'd also imagine that any Dota clone that isn't actually Dota or League is pretty bad

Reach killed competitive Halo and then Halo 4 buried it. The game series that was responsible for MLG was dropped by the entire circuit eventually.

Standing still or holding back blocks highs and mids, gets hit by lows. Ducking blocks lows, evades highs and gets hit by mids. It's one of the few things in Tekken that are straight forward and logical. What's not to understand?

The real problem is the wake up game. I was watching Bronson Tran stream the other day. He would just juggle online players infinitely with Baek because nobody would ever tech roll after they hit the ground. These were players with hundreds of matches under their belts, and they had no idea what to do.

I wonder how of those people quit the game that night, lol.

You can block with out holding back?

One thing that is extremely difficult to make the transition from capcom fighting logic or even mk logic is how important the neutral. I never play Tekken, but wavedashing and EWGF are concepts my brain doesn't understand, because you have to hit neutral, there is no SRK motion shenanigans.

I'm going to guess that people mentioning MOBA didn't read the Op and are doing so just to reiterate the typical whine about "assholes".
Because there's no other explanation. I have no idea how anyone can watch what DOTA 2 or LOL are doing and still claim these games have a stale or small competitive scene or are poorly supported by their developers.

Competitive Smash. I had a friend who insisted we play by tourney rules. If I ever play a no items match on final destination again, I'll scream.

Came to say Smash. Take an amazing fun game and just make it the most boring expericne ever.

The maps and items are a huge part of the fun in that game, and Final Destination is beyond boring.

Competitive smash isn't only played on FD. The Battlefield three platform layout and variations are played on as well as a transforming stage in Pokemon Stadium. FD only is a meme.
