Which games that everyone else hates do you love??

Were those PSP fps?
I think I tried this and it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it reviewed.

You're thinking about the Coded Arms series. They're a totally untapped goldmine right there. Rengoku and Rengoku II are brilliant cyber/bio-punk dungeon crawlers. Unsung.

Ah, exactly right. Thanks.

I'm probably the only other person on this board other than Aeana that has even heard of Brandish, let alone loves it to pieces.

I'd also include King's Field, but we actually have a little contingent of devoted fans here on GAF.

I own Brandish on the SNES, but don't like it much.

The game everyone seems to hate is Legend of the Dragoon. I find it to be awesome - one of the best RPGs from that generation. We need a sequel.

Mario Kart: Double Dash

I hated MK64 and Double Dash was a huge improvement over it (of course DS and Wii are better then DD).

Only thing I hated about Dragoon was the battle system, other then that it was great.

You also seem to be the only other person aside from me who had ever heard of Skyblazer.

MGS: Twin Snakes, liked it better than the original

Same here and it gets a lot of hate but I don't think it's as bad as many make it out to be and I personally like Snakes model in the game.
Mario Kart: Double Dash
My favorite track is in Double Dash. Baby Park FTMFW.

Castlevania 64 was a great game. Everybody seems to hate on this game but I loved it so much I ended up buying the Legacy of Darkness game as well. The storyline was top notch at least to me.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops. Yeah the controls take some getting use to but I really liked this game and I thinks it's very underrated.

Forgot about Twin Snakes. I remember picking it up when it first came out and I totally loved it, now I can't go back and play the original, I just can't.

I actually liked loved the Friday 13th game on nes...i used to play that game like there was no tomorrow. Even though it scared the hell out of me at night, Id play it anyway

Agreed, I don't get why the game is hated so much besides the insane difficulty level.

Kameo: Still one of my favorites this generation. Yeah, it was too short, but I loved every minute.

Too Human: Seriously, I thought it was fun. I even beat it twice. Ending sucked though.

Oblivion: GAF hates this game it seems, but it's still the best game of this generation IMO. Admittedly, I never played Morrowind.

Kirby Air Ride. While it seems that every now and then I find people who love it as much as I do, most people for some reason seem to scorn it with hate. Don't be hating the best multiplayer racing game ever ;-;

Blue Stinger! I thought it was a very good game, whose failings only really add character and add an additional comedical element to the game.

Oh and I forgot Enchanted Arms, I thought the battle system was pretty decent, and the golem collecting/upgrading made the game extremely addictive especially given that there were so many and so varied.

Twin Snakes. If it was on PS2 I bet suddenly a couple of over the top CS (designed by lord Kojima even!) and 'ruined boss' wouldn't be a ZOMG FUCK YOU GAME factor in an otherwise fantastic remake of one of the best games ever.

Mario Kart DD/Wii. Its Mario Kart, I think it looks fantastic and colourful, very pretty. Why do people hate the graphics?

And lastly, prolly fav games of all time Twilight Princess. Don't even get me started.

Not many people hate Twilight Princess

I guess I'd say Heavenly Sword. I can't for the life of me understand what was it about this game that didn't click with the mainstream gaming press. Yes its not incredibly long like say a Fallout, and no it doesn't have CO-OP, but as a game itself created to send the player on a thrill ride adventure through a heart felt story packed with awesome gameplay and some of the best graphics this gen, I don't understand the hate.

Carry on.

Mega Man 5 and 6
Donkey Kong Country 3
New Super Mario Bros.
Jak 3
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Prime 2
Castlevania: HoD

And while I wouldn't say I loved them, I enjoyed Geist and Dark Sector.

3. Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (N64)= I just think there a lot of pussies out there, including whomever the fuck put it on the "top horrible games" list (or whatever the hell it was called) over on GameTrailers; it's a brutal game, but I absolutely loved it, even when I was lost and didn't know where the hell to go.
Oh hell yeah...this game was outstanding.

Assassin's Creed and Far Cry 2. GtTA 4 wasn't bad either, just that its ungodly amount of hype killed most of GAF's enjoyment of the game.

Manhunt 1. Still one of my favourite games, and I'm always baffled by the hate it gets.

I also love Dark Sector, but I understand the criticisms for this one.

Legend of Dragoon (PSone) comes to mind. I don't know why so many people and critics hated it. It was one of my top RPGs ever.

People who hate Legend of Dragoon can bite my shiny metal ass.

My friend, his brother and I must have played Blue Stinger through to completion a dozen times, even years after the Dreamcast expired. That goddamned freezer part... and the dinosaur boss! We still talk about it to this day.

The Bouncer.
Headhunter.
tokyo bus guide :D
Outtrigger.
Sonic Adventure II, after this one I have to agree though with the shittyness of the franchise.
