Had I been alive during the American civil war, I'd probably enlist to carry the stars and stripes into battle. Well, figuratively speaking, I don't think I'd want to actually be a flag carrier.

Just understand those standard German grunts youre so eagar to kill probably don't give two shits about the National Socialist Party, were at best fighting for family/national pride if not against their will and probably didn't understand the full extent concerning the atrocities their government committed against the Jews, Romani and POWs.
