You know, I'm really sick to my stomach reading a few threads in that forum. Holy shit, I had no idea human beings could be so dumb and warped.

The whole "Jews as a race" thing among modern racists stems both from a long history of Jewish cultural identity that goes back to the exile in Babylon and prewar German protestant ideas about race and blood. In areas and countries where Catholicism held sway, nationalism was always less virulent, tempered by the idea of a universal church that paid no heed to national borders or cultural or racial barriers. Under this mode of thinking, a converted Jew was no longer a Jew, but a fellow Christian. One of the things the Nazis and their racialist predecessors did was propagandise and universalise the idea of Jews as a separate and alien race (as opposed to just a separate culture and faith). They succeeded in turning religious antisemitism into racist antisemitism, when the idea of a Jewish "race" is pure nonsense, regardless of how many Orthodox Jews claim to be of the Aaronic line.

Funnily enough, a while back, there was a council of some sort held in Israel to determine whether or not a group of Ethiopian Jews (they all looked ethnically Ethiopian) could be declared to be Jews. They were given the rubber stamp, of course, on the grounds that they had been practising the faith in isolation for at least a thousand years (perhaps longer - they claimed to be descended from Solomon and Sheba).
 
So the thread fills up with 'Jews', 'KKK', 'Stormfront', 'white supremacist', etc.

And google ads serves up . . . .

When you are on the bottom, you have to create a derogatory fiction about another group so you have someone to feel superior to.

It is much of what fuels AM radio . . . people have crappy lives and the guy on the radio tells them exactly what they want to hear . . . that those mexican immigrants, gays, blacks, pointy-head intellectuals, and others are the ones that are screwing up your life and holding you down. Virtually no truth in it . . . but that doesn't matter . . . what matters is that is want the audience wants to hear.

erm... I was trying come up with a theory about why white supremacists exist, and trying to do it on the fly. I was trying to get deep inside their psyche. It's supposed to show what's going on in their heads...

Stormfront is a goldmine when it comes to entertainment, but I've never felt so paranoid reading a website.


Out of all the crazy things on the internet that I end up seeing; nothing would be worse then someone opening up my search history and seeing a link to a site like Stormfront. I can't wait to clear my search history after I'm done laughing at these people.
