Comic books are home to some of the most OP characters in all of pop-fiction. Very very rarely do they lose these types of comparisons. While it's true there are plenty of weak heroes it still doesn't matter as they're never the focus of these things and are even then they're still stronger than most.

All these flash threads that have come out in the last month or two feel like vindication for getting piled on in vs thread when I brought up flash as a top tier do not fuck with contender.

Must of been on the bad end of comic gafs lasso of lol that day.

It's flash all day everyday, op. When you're simping superman and out running death it's kind of a wash for anyone who even shows up at the starting line.

Is Flash not alive? I'm wondering because the 90's Sonic cartoon (the shitty one* with good production values but terrible, uninteresting everything else) says, and I quote "It's Sonic, he's the fastest thing alive." It then goes on to reiterate, in quick succession, "he's the fasssstest thing alllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiivvvvveee!"

Now, since we already KNOW that sonic is the fastest thing alive, we need to find out why it APPEARS that the flash is faster. I believe I have found out a correct and logical reasoning that precludes a speedier Flash. Think about a time when you've seen something moving around a circle (or any periodic path) and it looked like it was moving slow, but you knew it was moving really fast. Rims on a car can have this effect, where you know the car is moving 50mph but looking at the rims it looks like they are barely rotating because of a visual illusion. This is called Temporal Aliasing. Here's an example. I think what is happening here is that when we see Sonic run we say "wow, that's pretty fast" but we actually have NO PERCEPTUAL WAY OF KNOWING how fast he's really running. I think what's happening is he is going so fast that there's a sort of Temporal Aliasing effect in play. Now what kind of a cyclical path could be running that, when the effect of Temporal Aliasing is taken into account, might make Sonic faster than Flash? I think a path that stretched ALL THE WAY AROUND THE ENTIRE EARTH with a frequency of ~23-24 cycles per second might work PERFECTLY for our purposes.

Think about it. For every step you think you see sonic take, he is actually encircling the earth many times. The reason it looks like he's running fast is because he's actually running REALLY, REALLY fast. Indeed, it is Sonic alone who has wrought such unheard of velocities. It is he alone who has caught neutrinos with his bare paws. That squirrely fink, with attitude to spare. Indeed, it is Sonic the Hedgehog! Behold, the true champion of speed!

*the good 90's Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon was the one with such cheap production values that they just left the background white most of the time instead of drawing anything. This is the one where Sonic eats chili dogs all day long and calls Eggman, and I quote, "Robuttnik". Excellent stuff.

If The Flash is really that fast can't he just solve every Justice League issue with speed? I mean, surely there's no villain that could touch him? Surely he could punch with more power than Superman and leap infinite distances with that kind of speed?

Leap? nah, he still needs to breathe and apply acceleration through running.

Probably flash. But he's about as fast as Raditz on DBZ level. Piccolo said raditz was faster than da speed of light

DBZ is the only place where abilities are more poorly defined than American comic books.

Anyway, according to Screw Attacks Goku vs Superman Death Battle, Clark is superior to Kakarot in virtually every way, including speed.

So if Supes is faster than Goku, and Goku is now faster than Raditz, and Flash is canonicaly faster than Supes, than Flash is waaayyy faster than Raditz.

I am saving this. It is the stuff of legends.

Fool.

First of all American comic heroes get waxed by normal humans in suits. Screw attack are known DC fannoys.

Anyway let's look at da facts.

Raditz power level is around 1,200 when he came to Earth. Piccolo tried to drop a special beam cannon and when raditz ducked it he said he can't believe IT, he's faster than light. Later nampa who's power level is around 10k leveled a city like NY by raising 2 fingers. No way superman can even do something like that.

Anyway. So If raditz power level at 1,200 is faster than the speed of light and frieza in his second form is at 1,000,000, how much faste is he than da speed of light??? A lot more. Now consider this. Goku at da end of DB gt is guesstimated to have a power level of over 1,000,000,000..... That's means my man goku can lap the universe a couple thousand times before the flush even clocks it. Dbz is just too much strong for DC.

Comic book nerds make me vex

Silver age Superman is such a loveable asshole. So awesome.

I love the subtle 'if you don't I'm going to beat the shit out of you in front of Alan Scott' vibe Superman is giving off. Like he'd break a leg off his chair, beat Jay Garrick up, and then point it at Alan Scott with a 'if you refuse to get fire wood, I'm going to fuck you up' gesture.
