Why do men still have to shave?

The small penis probably doesn't help either.

I don't like shaving my face either. I literally look 5 years younger with a shaved face. I wish having scruffy facial hair was more acceptable

You do realise just because those products are marketed for women that you can use them too, OP?

This marketing is exactly why people still get hung up on gender stereotypes.

"I can't use THAT, it's a girl product, with girls in the advert!"

I sometimes use hair removal cream on my ass, and guess what, it's marketed to women -- the lid is pink!

Women have many options for getting rid of unwanted hair - shaving, creams, electrolysis, waxing, those electric things that pull your hairs out.

Yet men still seem limited to razors.

Is there a particular reason why things are so limited? I imagine moustache waxing would be bloody painful, but the rest of your face might be ok. I'd love to have a treatment that could be done every few weeks rather than every day.

a typical turkish barber uses

and of course fire

Is there really any benefit to using Nair for Men over regular Nair?

Works on balls and face alike:

Philips has changed my life.

Get one of those and join the classy and exclusive Xabi Alonso short beard club.

Do you use it on your face after you use it on your balls?

Most people that say this aren't very hairy. I'm not talking about a little extra chest hair, I'm talking about hair growing on back, shoulders, ass, etc.

I'm not fond of hair on the back or shoulders, but I think a guy with a little bit of a fuzzy butt is ok.

Short beard.

Repeat after Xabi Alonso:

Short beard.
I do keep my facial hair pretty short . It's a 3 on the trimmer I use. Problem is, I'm trying to become a police officer and they like clean shaven baby faces. I can't grow a respectable standalone mustache, so I'd pretty much have to be clean shaven.

Those things are meant/built to be used in the shower.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that unless your crotch is like a pigsty. Your sponge/loffa/soap bar is 10,000% times filthier.

That kinda sucks. There was this time I fucked up my beard by forgetting to use the "comb" on my trimmer and I decided to leave the moustache, only to discover that I look like I touch children. Beard it is.

Things like waxing can kill you hair growth for some time. I imagine many men like to have the option to grow a beard (regardless of how pathetic it might turn out to be) whenever they feel like it (at least that's how I see it).

Because some of us find beards disgusting? They completely deform your face. To each its own with their body. We're in the year when men don't have to shave, but lickily we don't have to not to.

Edit: Yeah the OP talked about a completely different thing (Got carried on by the lastest responses. The answer is because your face skin is delicate and those products are kind of abrassive)

I wish there was a solution to shaving my face less. Military so I have to shave daily, a second time if we have an evening function in uniform. It is so lame.

Pretty much this.

Well some men have an ugly/ungraceful face that they hide or complement with a beard and start yelling how manly they are.

And some men can't grow a beard/can't grow a good beard and start yelling about how unattractive beards are and how people need to shave.

Why does it have to be compensation and not a naturalistic view of the human form? What's wrong with men embracing the features that define them?

There's nothing wrong with liking beards or wanting to have one.

There is something odd about going "lol real men dont shave, only wimpy women-men with no penises lol!"

We aren't animals. We can choose.

what if you're ruggedly handsome and grow a beard because you can?
Great, do it. The thing about beards is that it changes your face a lot, if youre are super handsome and grow a beard there is a chance you'd look like a super handsome man with a beard and not like a simply super handsome man. There are exceptions of course.

And some men can't grow a beard/can't grow a good beard and start yelling about how unattractive beards are and how people need to shave.
Yes, it works both ways. I totally can grow a beard though, I shave everyday.

The thing is, there is a difference between this
Which are ok because it's still your face right there, just adorned with hair.

And then this

Which deforms it and hides your factions, and while you might call it "manliness" some would call it plain lazyness.

Still, it's like, your choice, bros, but stop "shave-shaming", it's bothersom, annoying, and the most stupid cause to fight for.

I have a beard because I like having a beard, not because I care what anyone else (other than my wife) thinks of it.

Will it's your body, if it suits you happy I'm happy for you. It's "shave-shaming" which is annoying, and that includes "Why do you shave? you don't need to" and stuff. Not that the OP says that, as the purpose of the thread was something else entirely.

What's wrong with "Why do you shave? You don't need to?"
Especially as a counter toward others feeling that everyone needs to shave.

Not shaving is a perfectly legitimate option.

Stepping out of the internet the roles are reversed to an almost overbearing level, where there is gross discrimination in many work industries against bearded men. Is it so wrong to show a little tongue-in-cheek pride on the internet and jest about societal views on masculinity?

I don't think too many beard aficionados purport to actually be superior to non-bearded specimens and are serious about it.
