How dare you insult the name of the great Steve Irwin!
Yeah, a lot too early. After E3 even Terri Schiavo puns are fair game.

I don't think what color used has any significance.
Regardless of what it is, an interview with Mr. Miyamoto is always nice, so I'm looking forward to Edge's article.

Miyamoto: Hi, I'm Miyamotosan, I am here to tell you to look forward to E3. See you then.

Would rage again.
Also, my girlfriend thinks your avatar is incredibly cute, weevils.
Wasn't there a rumor a while back about Miyamoto making a mermaid game? I swear I heard this on these boards.

Lol, well thanks. Saki is quite the adorable girl d:
Or...they told them to wait until E3. We haven't gotten ANY Wii U game announcements since last E3
Oops, I was referring to Axisofweevils, but I have been meaning to watch Eden of the East, so your's is great too. 10/10

He then mentioned he was swimming a lot.
So naturally, Miyamoto's next game has mermaids.
Oh boy i had another AWESOME idea
Every time you start your WiiU you would get a message, choosen randomly, wich states one of the devs excuses why they didn't support the Nintendo platform the last 3 generations.

I wonder how Wii U games will incorporate the "U" without making it sound completely stupid.
Apologies if this is old news.

UnleashedI wonder how Wii U games will incorporate the "U" without making it sound completely stupid.
I finally discovered what has been bugging me about the Wii U name. It has nothing to do with the sound or it's creativity, it has everything to do with how it looks like in text. I keep having to do double takes to make sure the sentence is about Wii U and not Wii.
Examples
1)Wii U and Wii
2)So and so gets announced for PS3, Xbox360, and Wii U gets so and so announced, no Wii version.
The break between Wii and the U is the problem. Not just visually, it even exists when you type Wii U, you need to physically add the space. You never have to do this with other systems, PS3, Xbox360, 3DS, etc. the abbreviations are all unified as one word.
I honestly believe the break in the name is what causes a lot of cognitive dissonance with the name, it just looks wrong, it's weird to type, etc.
Wii U should be spelt WiiU or Wiiu from now on, instead of Wii U.
There is really nothing stopping you from spelling it WiiU.

You make a good point. Typed out it does look better without the space. Not sure about the logo though.I finally discovered what has been bugging me about the Wii U name. And you know that because next gen is out? A bunch of rumors mean little, that should be obvious with how practically each one contradicts the last. I expect at least the next Xbox to provide a true generational leap.
Also, PS2 wasn't dramatically more powerful than DC imo...more powerful yes, dramatically, no. IMO they were from the same generation.
Jet Set Radio still stacks up nicely with the rest of the generation, even in the presence of Jet Set Radio Future on the Xbox, for instance.
Yeah, but that's because some art styles like cel shading don't really age that much over time.
The majority of cel shaded games looked bad even when they release...
Was just about to post this. I really would like a Virtual Console release of the 64DD cartridge. Sure, there is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, but it's not the same thing. Ocarina of Time version 1.0 and 1.1 (I'm not fond of version 1.3 due to Nintendo bending over to appease some religious groups over a controversial chant in Fire Temple) are great games that up to this date provide new things to be found. Ura Zelda could become very popular if Wii U features a nice online community with chat functions etc., that is if the unfinished build is released anyway and Nintendo doesn't tinker with it much.Get rid of the l and t and you got yourself a winner.
You can make any art style look bad or awkward if you execute it in a crappy way.
But cel shading done right typically doesn't age like other graphical styles.
Super Mario Universe
The obvious sequel to the two galaxies.
This invention relates generally to remote control systems and, more particularly, to a system and method for facilitating the set up and configuration of a portable device, e.g., a smart device which may incorporate universal remote control functionality, to command operation of one or more types of remotely controllable appliances of one or more manufacturers. Exemplary smart devices include but are not limited to Apple's "iPhone` and "iPad," Google's "Android" platform, Nintendo's "Wii U" controller, Blackberry's "Torch" or "PlayBook," etc. Exemplary types of appliances include, but are not limited to televisions, digital video disc players (DVDs), cable or satellite set top boxes (STBs), digital video recorders (DVRs), audio video (AV) receivers, thermostats, game consoles, lighting systems, etc.
They have been looking into this, but nothing has been said about the Wii U having that cabalility. Though, with Nintendo you never know.So I found this:
If I'm interpreting this patent right, the Wii U controller will/might be able to control other devices like DVD's, TV's, etc. The patent is from Universal Electronics Inc. I don't know how affiliated they are with Nintendo but why would they include the Wii U, an unreleased gaming console, as an example if it wasn't going to have the feature?
Has it been confirmed by Nintendo that the Wii U will be able to do this kind of stuff?
