Why does this gun (made by some HK unlicensed third party) do such a better job than Nintendo's own "zapper"

Check out the reviews for that gun before you say they've done a "better job" than the zapper. :lol

Couldn't find any reviews... It's 3rd party so I figured it was crap (or at least 60/40 chance it's crap), but even still...

They've done a better job with the design. Regardless of functionality.

it isnt a better job, I havent used the zapper and I can already confirm the zapper is better.

I own that piece of crap gun shell and it is garbage, total garbage. It may have looks, but the function just isnt there, plus it actually can damage your nunchuck and wiimote.

I believe you 100%. I'm just wondering why Hong Kong get's it (in terms of looks) and Japan doesn't.

Huh? How can it damage your nunchuck?

It's because functionality is more important then looks when talking about a peripheral.

Besides, it's not like the Zapper looks bad, it just doesn't look like a traditional gun.

Can anyone find a single preview where the functionality of the Wii Zapper was praised? 'Cause the most positive thing I remember reading about it was, "It might not have to suck." Nobody liked using it with RE:UC, near as I can remember.

Shane from 1up said he felt like a badass using it in UC.

you have the option to plug your nunchuck into the bottom of the gun so you can play games that require the nunchuck, like Red Steel, the problem with it is the plugs for both the Wiimote and Nunchuck are such bad quality that they get stuck in the gun.

when I eventually got them out, it ripped out the the wires from the gun and now it can just be used for the Wiimote.

the biggest problem is that there is a delay between pressing the trigger and shooting and there is too much resistance. Nintendo went the right path atleast in terms of putting the handle and B trigger.

How did I miss this party? Oh right, Pepsi sucked my life away.

Oh come on.

From what we know, it's just a glorified tech demo accessory pack-in thingy starring a Nintendo character. I don't think this "whores out" Link any more than the MPH demo that came with the first DS SKUs "whored out" Samus.
Metroid Prime Hunters is universally credited with killing off Metroid Dread, and along with it, Traditional Metroid.

Now I'm expecting statements from Nintendo in three years saying that the next Wii Zelda, built from the ground-up to take advantage of waggle and the extra GameCube, was never officially confirmed, so technically it couldn't possibly have been canned.

Given the general sales of Zelda versus Metroid, I don't think this could possibly be the case.

(MPH did bomb, didn't it? I can't imagine that determining the future of portable Metroid.)

Which is strange given that it's the worst selling Metroid game in history. :P
