Honestly, I think they were just having fun with the "cupcake" bit, not demeaning casual players etc

Just a marketing tactic which didn't work

I like it too and those zone intro narrations.

Also I think the cupcake thing was more a jab at the perceived casual-ness of other MMOs and wildstar's "hardcore" thing.
 
The best VO in the game from what I've played was the Shiphands mission where it's intentionally like that Mars Attacks/Strange Tales type old-school sci-fi.
 
Best raiding i've had ever. Ill jump back in, I wonder if I will remember how to play my SS. Haven't touched it since DnT disbanded.

But the "you're gonna find out cupcake" was from Carbine's preview video. The way they used that phrasing still applies to what I said. They thought they were hot shit, now they're free to play. It was just something that was (as you said) meant to be stupid and silly. I don't think Carbine ever intended it to be perceived in the way you describe it. At least I never took it that way. Obviously people thought differently and it worked against them somewhat.

Considering plaything this casually smetimes when i am in the mood.

Are all 3 healers pecs pretty desirable in PvE? (no PvP interest) Was looking at Esper but the other two seem interesting as well.
 
I'm gonna try. You guys better not dissapoint me. I prefer to heal in WoW and FF14. I'll try and play one here if I don't get bored. So uh, howdy.

Yes all 3 are desirable, you honestly want a good mix of classes on raids for example.
 
I don't know if we are putting a doc together or what, but feel free to look for me tomorrow I'll be on Somnia Viento an Esper DPS Dominion.

There will be at least 1 NA and 1 EU guild. Both on PvE. As of the current moment (before the servers went down) we have a Dominion NA guild established but with how many people are saying they prefer Exile chances are we'll end up creating an Exile guild as well. I don't know if we have enough people for the Dominion one to survive so that one may die off depending on how many people end up joining it. If the Dominion one dies off i'll try to use the AH to transfer all the money and items from it to the Exile guild.

We may have to make do with a NeoGAF circle for a while until we can scrounge up enough money to get a guild created. I'm bummed won't have my costumes or my sweet house. I wish Carbine would put in faction transfers.
 
Does anyone want to volunteer for making the Exile NA guild? If not, i'll try to rush a character to 12 tonight and transfer money from my Dominion character and get it made so we can start getting people in the guild and getting guild levels.

I can take care of it, got some 50s on Exile side. Just need a name.
 
Looks like they've greenlit the patch to the free to play version. Start your patching if you don't want to deal with a headache later tonight.
