WildStar: Reloaded |OT| Full Steam Ahead!

By the way, been wanting to get this off my chest for a bit, but the game has way too few classes, which is a shame because I like the direction they were going with some of them (Medic and Esper especially, no wonder they seem to be the most popular)

I'm thinking of classes from Skyforge.
Classes like Paladin (sword & shield ftw), Necromancer, Alchemist, and Kinetic would be fun in Wildstar.
 
Was able to be fairly productive tonight really hoping things get better tomorrow and definitely for the weekend when I'm off so I can really just put on my big boy pants and let loose!

Got to level 10 tonight hoping to try out some Stalker tanking soon! Hopefully see what Protostar is like. And gonna get into some crafting soon and see what I wanna do!

Quick question are dyes one time use or do you unlock them and then they can be used indefinitely on gear?
 
That Killroy addon helps a lot. You can turn off mousefade and turn opaque all the way up to get a solid background chatbox, then click on the chatbox format settings icon (top left in chat box) and change font colors by clicking on whatever color icon for the specific chat type.

2 hours until 3 hour or so maintenance peeps.

If anyone needs some help leveling, hit up Croc McTavish on Exile side. Wildstar has a neat mentoring system that allows lvl 50 chars like mine to scale down to match your level and help you through quests etc without a penalty.

I think i was doing a platinum a day or more just mining max level nodes in other people's houses and vendoring. It's been a year, but it was like 20-30m at a time.
 
At 2AM PDT / 5AM EDT / 9AM UTC, all Megaservers will be brought down for maintenance and during this time WildStar will be unavailable. We expect the downtime to last approximately 3 hours but it could be longer or shorter - please follow this thread for any updates as it progresses.

I see.
So you had to farm everyday to get a CREED for a month. But prices are different nowadays, I hope it'll be easier to get one.

3 hours of downtime is really needed. It's not during the NA peak hours, where the biggest issues have been.

Yeah, I know. I wasn't really whining though.
I'd choose they shut down the server for a whole day if it can really fix the issues over small temporary hotfixes like the past couple days.
The game is such a bliss if there's no lag.
 
I've jumped through a few different toons, Exile and Dominion, trying out a few different classes, pathes and races. Just completed Crimson Isle with my Chua Engineer/Scientist and I think I found my main. I'm kind of impressed with the game so far now that it's relatively stable, playable and lag free. I really dig exploring and the fact there's something to explore beyond simply revealing the map. I like scanning junk for science, as well as finding all of the lore cubes and journals. I definitely see myself playing this game for a while.
 
Can someone explain healing as a medic for me? I had problems keeping the tank alive on the third boss in protostar adventure since his hp was disappearing faster than I could cast my spells.

That's a solid question, I have problems with this as well. So far I've been using mostly Mending Probes, Emission and Flash, with Dual Shock whenever available and I had moderate success - I got the team through Protostar Academy 3 times, but 2 times I couldn't do shit to keep them alive, even though we Interrupted and so on. I also run out of Focus fairly quickly, even though I put some AMPs into Focus recharge.

End-game tank healing (I cannot recall it at lower levels, T4/8 bonuses on Emission, Probes and Flash help massively):

Emission / Shield Surge and/or Crisis Wave / Probes / Flash

That's yer core. Emission for regular heals, SS for mitigation heals if necessary / Crisis Wave if massive spam, and then Probes + Flash combo for ultra nuke heals. It's all about timing.

I was mistaken, it was the fifth boss and when I did the dungeon as a dps the healer said that the tank kept getting the ice debuff on him making it impossible to heal him. That explains it.

So I got the right idea, I just have to work on the execution and swap Crisis Wave in. Thanks.

In other news, the game booted me out after I tried to enter Alpha Sanctuary from Thayd and now I can't get back in, after the loading screen it kicks me back to character selection. People are having the same problem after entering other instances, so you might want to skip dungeons and such for a while.
 
Anyone having the login issue where you click enter character, it loads to full, but then cuts back to the character selection screen?

I don't know whether to just keep trying and chalk it up to Carbine or if it's a problem on my end.

It's been like that for like half an hour.
 
Managed to play for about 30 minutes before the lag became too much again for the game to be playable.

Ill probably start another char since i don't like the settler much. I think explorer is the one i enjoyed more out of the various paths.

Hopefully they do something about the lag though because right now the game is not in a playable form at least in eu.
 
tried claiming the Daily Login reward and it wouldn't work...then tried to unlock a costume piece and it wouldn't work...opened a Datacube and it took about 20-30 seconds to actually open

still no idea what the patch was for since there's no patch notes...wasn't to fix "Ulltra" textures because that still doesn't work
