WildStar: Reloaded |OT| Full Steam Ahead!

Game was terrible until they restarted the servers, now the lag is completely gone.

Jabbit here.
Well I’m glad the Euro servers are fine now, but the NA servers had the exact opposite situation.

I hope they refund signature time for those of us who paid.

Wanted to so for myself if the lag was better on Jabbit, but the queue time is about 2 hours 30 mins.
At least I could play a bit earlier.

I can't seem to add you as a friend or whisper you (I assume you're Exile side). Can you add me? Character name: Madison Novae.

Sorry my internet dropped so I wasn't able to get those messages. Maybe someone else can toss you an invite, I'm trapped in queue.

Hey all. I'm curious if any Wild Star vets or anyone new has info for which class to play. A lot of the details I've found online are about classes at launch and I'm wondering if there have been changes that might be relevant for what I'm looking for.

I really enjoyed my Feral Druid in WoW, but mostly because of the combat systems. I don't care about stealth so much, but the Feral Druid mechanics of energy/combo points and various bleeds/buffs to to maintain combined with the inherent randomness of combo point generation from crits made that a really enjoyable class to play.

So yeah...Stalker has stealth and energy and some high burst, but it seems like that's where the similarities end. I've read that Espers have a combo point system and that they are no longer quite as turret-like as they used to be. Spellslingers have their own resource, but that seems like something you flip on/off to buff specific attacks which sounds pretty static.

Anyone have any suggestions or can point me towards some helpful sites to check out? I'm not looking for something exactly the same, but hopefully something similar in resource management. Thanks in advance!

I installed this about a week before f2p was live and today my launcher says it' installing infinite files at sub 200k. It's only 17% after nearly 2 hours. I started at 15%. Is this the recompression or is there a patch that's going incredibly slow? The folder size isn't changing. How long do I need to wait for this to finish

tried running the Protostar Academy Dungeon for the first time....tons of lag and then the network crashed...fun

all of that for nothing

I had a ton of lag in the level 15 adventure, sure made healing...a barrel of laughs :(

Seems I can finally play without issues. Can somebody on NA PvE Exile add me to the guild? Character name: Usnavi Mendez

Spellslingers are an incredibly high skill cap class due to requiring proper management of their resource to maximize their potential. It's far from just flipping a switch and forgetting it, you'll put out very little DPS compared to someone properly managing their innate if you do that. If you want a resource management class i'd say them and Stalker's suit power rely on it the most.

Ugh I don't think I can handle all these lags anymore...until it gets fixed i'm probably gonna avoid it atm...it feels good and all just...I can't deal with random lag at the wrong time

NCSoft has had a horrible track record with lag and their games. Aion was atrocious.

That said though! I personally haven't had any problems... which is weird! :S

I've been playing great so far on the Entity server. No lag whatsoever, but then again I'm in the early zones (level 8 or 9).

I stopped playing to get lunch and now it looks like there's a queue to get into Entity. Guess I'll just switch to my characters on Entity-2.

Game has ran fine for me. Only thing I can't stand is the lag/stutter every time I turn the camera. Frame rate drops way down only when turning. Besides that, it runs perfectly fine.

Maybe there is a fix, idk. About to give up because of that.

Recreated my Warrior from months back. Back in the day, I got my original Warrior to the mid 30s. But I missed a lot of group content along the way, so I re-rolled earlier today. Is that weird? Should I just hop back on my old warrior? Is the renovation of the new player experience worthwhile?

That's good to hear. What about DPS Medics? It seems like they also involve generating resources to spend on heavy-hitting abilities.

Anyone playing on Entity 2 can you comment if there is lag? I'm seriously getting close to transferring my character... this is getting very aggravating.

I don't have much experience with the Medic class but I never got the impression their 4 resource mechanic was all that complicated, no where near the level as SS or even Stalker.

Got to the point where I get my own house. I can see how someone can spend a lot of time in there.

Going to have to do a bit of research about how exactly to get some of the unlockable stuff.

Kinda crazy seeing someone trying to sell something in Thayd for 100+ Plat and its like you can buy a good 8-9 CREDD with that which would you can turn into 8-9 months of signature kind of weird seeing something sell for that much. You'd think most prices would revolve around the price to buy CREDD.

So I was talking to a dev in this regular Wildstar stream I watch. He confirmed the biggest bug causing lag was fixed in the recent hotfix (he's the one who coded it), but admits they have a ways to go. He did say the two main servers are the only ones experiencing extreme lag though.

I've played on both Entity and Entity 2 and they're both smooth as silk for me. Then again I'm in the early areas so that might have something to do with it. But no complaints here.

Decided to download and try it out, since I only played at launch.

So... this lag, eh? Was having fun in the first expedition, but just couldn't stand the crazy bouts of lag.

Outside of Thayd in the 14-22 levelling zone is definitely not smooth still getting lag when looting and getting bits of lag when fighting more then one creature after one dies.

Lag is still brutal. Just got booted from an adventure cause I couldn't do anything. Just kept mashing those buttons but nothing came out.

I'm about to transfer right now. I made a character on there and ran around and it's just so much better.
EDIT: Well, I will once I can even load my character list for entity-1.

I think I'm moving to Entity 2 till the lag/stability is fixed. I just want to level/dungeon, etc. I think more people in GAF should follow.

Aeana, what's your character names so I can friend you on entity 2?

My Level 8 Esper in his costume :) (pre transfer to Entity 2)

on Entity 1 I find the latency is worse in the quest hubs. My ping jumps from the 90's to almost the 400's. It's better out in the world where there seem to be fewer players but I still get hangs where the game is unresponsive to my inputs. I can't cast any abilities or they're on a serious delay of a few seconds. I can move around, not that it matters, as that isn't what the server sees. I can work around it, it's only caused me one death, which costs nothing in repairs at this point. It's just annoying.

I can't even change realms at the moment to try and make a toon on Entity 2. I'm getting the hamster wheel of doom.

I can't transfer to entity-2 because it claims my character is currently "busy."

I've had this problem reported it on the official forum, no fix yet but they're working on it.

Looks like your stuck in lag city like me.

#Goes for a high five but ends up hitting a wall he some how found himself in front of#

I totally forgot how much stuff there is to do in an MMO. I am pretty overwhelmed having just made it to Algoroc. So many damn quests and NPCs and map markers everywhere.
