Witcher 3 - Nintendo DS version

OP isn't wrong though, this looks just like Feel the Magic XY/XX!
 
Completely nonsensical and inaccurate attempt at a DS-look.
Almost like reducing the palette to 4 greyscale colors and calling it Game Boy.
 
I was expecting a 2d zelda like game but Op obviously doesn't know what a DS is, not even vita could handle that.
 
If a Witcher 3 version ever came out for the 3DS family, it would probably be exclusive to the N3DS and heavily modified so it could run 20fps.

Off topic, I really do like the style.
 
I had to do something similar to get witcher 3 to run on one of laptops except it wasnt as dramatic of change so actually it looks worst than this version.
 
Um that's not even close.

Nintendo DS could display about 2000 polygons max.
You'd need to 2D billboard a lot of the grass and stuff.

This is far too good for DS and I'm not sure 3DS could do it.
 
The DS is hard-limited to drawing 2048 polygons in a given frame. The game is probably displaying approximately 1000x that number of polygons in those screens.
 
I don't understand how this person can compare those screenshots to a handheld released more than ten years ago.
 
Aw, so sad, I honestly believed someone had gone to the effort of downscaling models/reusing LOD meshes.

Instead we get something like WiiU target screens.

I do have to admit that the lower-poly cel shaded look is a nice tweak, though. I think a "Windwitcher" game could end up pretty neat.
 
Look at all the fine folks telling us that this couldn't run on the 3DS.

It's really important that we know that they know that.
 
Just drop the resolution and add a shitload of aliasing to these images and you're much closer to what it would look like on the DS:

Hell even the characters in those shots might have too many polygons for the DS.
