0o0 thank youI've just gotten Rivatuner working with it, create a new profile for the game then set On-Screen Rendering Mode to Vector 2D (I've usually got it set to Vector 3D).

Everything on Ultra, CUDA streaming is greyed out (Titan X), 4XMSAA, High SSR, No texture Compression
Flat 60 the entire time.
Putting on 8XMSAA causes drops into the high 40s. I am quite surprised that the game has more GFX options then Wolf TNO. Pleasantly surprised in fact.
Seems rather similar to me.
What you are saying sounds right, but experientially this game's 8XMSAA option was much harder on my hardware than 4XMSAA, perhaps implying that it wasn't just 8XCSAA.
res?
What frame-rate are the cut-scenes supposed to run at? Certainly not 60 fps over here. Are they locked to 30?
1080p, so not 1440p like your monitor.
idtech 5 has this incredible ability to run like a high end cryengine game, and look nothing like it.
didnt rage at least run at 60 fps maxed on very low end gpus?
I'm assuming both SLI and G-Sync remain incompatible with idTech5, yes?
Does this still have little scenes with NPCs that cause strange drops in framerate (like the train sequence in TNO)?
Performance in these scenes is lower because DOF quality, subsurface scattering and models are usually higher quality than regular gameplay. Yes, there are a few of them in the new game. Early "Hot dog" scene, for example.
Question, for downloads/space does this game use textures/resources from new order if you have it installed? or does it actually require a desperate 38 gig download?
is SLI as broken as The New Order?
I don't think SLI is supported by the game (like The New Order)
When will Wolfenstein: The New Order have Crossfire/SLI support?
We currently have no plans for or information on Crossfire/SLI support for Wolfenstein: The New Order.
I'd hazard a guess that it's not 8xMSAA but 8xCSAA (or EQAA for those Red fellas) so essentially 4xMSAA + 4 coverage samples. Going by that logic 16 would be 4xMSAA + 12 Coverage Sample and 32 would be 8xMSAA + 24 Coverage Samples.
Screen Space Reflections is usually a one of hit regardless if there are any reflective surfaces in the game and in Wolf TNO the performance cost was massive with them set to Ultra, where as 8xCSAA over 4xMSAA would be quite a negligible hit and only a tiny bit more VRAM used. 8xMSAA would be a massive increase in performance cost and VRAM usage that I doubt anyone has a card capable of running at a decent framerate.
Have you tried running 3840x2160 DSR? I haven't tested The Old Blood yet, but that resolution seemed to hold 60 fps in The New Order (with multi aa disabled). Titan X user here as well.

That was where I noticed a huge improvement in characters and lighting, even in the PS4 version. Eyes and skin look a lot better and textures are sharper too. Faster load times and fewer load screens and some AF too.I thought the skin and shading in that scene was really nice (self shadowing was surprisingly accurate for idtech5). The scene is also completely hilarious.
You think so? I'd think that not having to decompress in RAM and then copy to VRAM would still be faster even with a fast CPU.

With everything on Ultra and all sliders maxed I'm dipping down into the high 40's occasionally with a 3700k/Titan X. Going to have to do some tweaking to maintain the glorious 60, but overall it looks and runs great.
Seems like this game doesn't like AMD setup.
Try no MSAA, no screen-space reflections, resolution 3840 x 2160 DSR, and everything else maxed out.
Downsampling made The New Order look so much better. Not only does it clean up jaggies but it removes blur and grain, and makes textures better. I assume it has the same effect on this game.

I reckon if you have a Titan X you should be able to hold 60fps with 4K DSR. Could any Titan X owner confirm?
