Would you date an under-age (i.e. under 18) person?

Lmao. No fucking way. Of course, I was 17 when I first started dating my first boyfriend, and he was 20, and that worked out fine for 3 years. But at 23 now, I can't see myself doing anything but sleeping with someone that young. Dating? Nooooooo way. 17 year olds are annoying as shit.

I wouldn't want to imply that you wished to exploit anyone, you seem well-meaning enough. I don't think it sounds too creepy but who am I to judge a situation with persons I know nothing about. So long as you're confident this cannot backfire and you do nothing illegal then it should be fine. I'm 21 now but I have been on forums for a rather long time, often talking to people a fair bit older than me and sometimes you genuinely cannot tell the difference so it's fine, really.

Current GF? Ex GF in two years, am I right, OP?
 
I am 35; last time I dated someone under 18 I was 19; exactly 2 years older than her to the day. It was awkward and I avoided it despite having the legal opportunity to get plentiful 16-17 year old girls (in WA State until you pass 21 16 is the age of consent.)

However; I'm 35 now and my wife is 23. We met when she was 19.

In my opinion she is significantly more mature than my 33 year old ex-wife and pretty much all of the women I've known closer to my age. I don't know what it is; but I feel like the generation of people I grew up around, both men and women, are not very mature in general.

I'm 27, the lowest I'd go for male is 26, for female, 23/24 as women tend to be more mature. For those of ya'll saying 18-20 is the sweet spot for women, or 25+ women are boring, I'd bet the actual issue is your own immaturity. A year ago I was working at Urban Outfitters and was the only person (sans manager) over 24, the stupid shit that came out of both the female and male employee's mouths... I had to quit after 6 months.

Proving that sometimes limiting yourself with arbitrary age limits is not the best thing. If she's legal and likes you, it's fine.

I'm 26. I don't see anything wrong necessarily with dating somebody 16-18 in 100% of cases, but here is the problem. Girls in the range of 16-18 who may be legal to date depending where I live will be far easier to impress than women closer to my age. Personally I find it kind of scummy to go chasing girls that simply are too inexperienced to have any real expectations in what a partner in a relationship should be. If I or any other guy owns a car, have my own independent income and housing, am a decent looking and behaving guy, it would be a cake walk to find a 16-18 year old girl that will be incredibly impressed by us and be flattered that they were picked by somebody older.

That just seems gross to me.

I think we are on the same side here. I'm saying COD is meant for adults (theoretically) and MLP is absolutely meant for children.

Anyway, that's not the point. It's creepy to talk to a 14 year old with the intention to date them. If somebody think they are 'wise beyond their years', chances are the person who thinks that is immature.
