6) After hearing 'Heretic', Dave Mustaine flips out, blames Obama, METALLICA and UFOs for the A7X stealing 'Symphony Of Destruction'.
Would've liked to hear a Iron Maiden "Trooper" clone song as well.
Papa Roach took a riff from the Iron Maiden song "Ghangis Khan" and turned in their big hit "Last Resort". The guitar player denied he ever heard the song.
Talent and skill to rip something off? Huh.
Avenged was good for Waking the Fallen. They were a small more underground band at that time though. The next album they got signed to a big record label and have been shit ever since.
I remember going to the new album tour at the time. The one after Waking the Fallen. Don't remember the name. The majority of the fans at the show were not happy.
Mike Portnoy was the only thing that kept me listening to them, and he was only on one album. Hail to the King was awful.
You had to remind me of that, didn't you?Given what happens at the end of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 I don't think it should surprise anyone that Avenged Sevenfold are pro-war.
Look it up.
I gotta be honest, Avenged have sucked for a long ass time, but I've never been one to get all riled up over the whole "ripped off" thing.
What's really pathetic is looking down on someone for liking something you don't like.
That track is nu-metal, and SUPER lame. Don't use this to besmirch the name of Pantera.
...
Its only in the last couple of years since the blackening (awesome album) that they have been any good and that was because they started copying bands like trivium, arch enemy and early metallica.
So I like early Metallica (check) I like trivium (check) but had never heard of Arch Enemy.
I spent some time digging around, and came up with enough to get a big taste of their music.
Dude... LOOOOOVE their openings and the power of their songs. Fucking insane!
Till that guy starts singing. Sorry. I mean musically they are like.... umm... a gorgeous tornado wrapped up in a sexy maelstrom that is stuffed inside a Lamborghini Murcielago that is then put through a wood chipper.
It's easy for me to listen to insane thrash stuff but I can't deal with the growling style one single bit. But that is quite a tough recommendation, because on one hand I L O V E it. I mean love it. On the other hand, I cannot listen to it. So what's a guy to do?
Wow. Arch Enemy... we could have been really special...
FUCK!

it doesnt sound like thunderstruck so learn ur music if you think that
Well, this piece someone posted here earlier. I'm assuming this is saying that this insulting lifestyle is being gay, or are there other insulting 'lifestyles' in the USA I don't know about? Plus the guy is doing the classic 'faggot' insult shouts at the video someone posted.
Maybe I'm misinterpreting this stuff, though, that's why I asked. Haven't looked into this band before this.
All the way from the east to the west
We got this high society
Looking down on their very foundation
Constantly reminding us that our actions
Are the cause of all their problems
Pointing their fingers in every
Direction, blaming their
Own nation for who wins the elections
They've never contributed a fucking thing to the
Country they love to criticize
Poor Flynn. It must suck to be this jealous of A7X's success.
Yeah, must suck being an integral part of a band that's responsible for one of the most critically acclaimed metal albums of the 2000s.I'd be pretty pissed if I were the frontman of Machine Head, too. It's almost as embarrassing as being Justin Bieber's backup singer.
The Blackening is a goddamn masterpiece.

I'd say just get used to the vocals, but I guess they're not for everyone. So I like early Metallica (check) I like trivium (check) but had never heard of Arch Enemy.

Damn right. Join the party.now we've gone from talking about crappy pop metal and groove bands to crappy melodeath.
also, growls are awesome (so long as they aren't frog inhales or pig squealing)
Damn right. Join the party.
You don't like his drumming?
Avenged Sevenfolds latest album is - not on the level of their previous - still a great album.
Acid Rain is an amazing song, who would doubt this?

Are you talking about this nu metal Machine Head?

Nice bleached spikes, poseur.
Man, I've never seen that picture before. Which one is Rob?
That's pretty embarrassing.
I have a real love/hate with early Arch Enemy. At times they have some great ideas paying tribute to old Maiden/Priest/Ozzy, then other times it sounds like they wrote songs for a sitcom.
The guy in front with the orange jump suit. Watch the video I edited in above!
From Vio-Lence to THIS?!?! Unacceptable.
I dont have a problem with Machine Head doing this, I have a problem with Flynn calling out another band for doing the same thing. Well, except A7X hasnt changed the way they look. lol.
Uh... WHAT?!

Edit: Holy fuck, look at this hot garbage. If you made this, then in no way can you ever criticize A7X.

Talent and skill to play that old style metal.
god that song is so damn amazing. gonna have to pop this in later. heh
