Itachi's story has been better than most of the anime itself.
From what I've heard, they actually butchered the novels and filled it with their own fan fiction.

I have stopped watching it just so that it can end then I can skip all of the filler. For fuck's sake why are they taking so long to end this?!

But why? Once I got off the dub and then finished the show through the manga it was so easy to finish the story. Now I can just chill out and go back to the filler episodes that I skipped.

Naruto is amazing. I just started watching it this year. I'm almost done with Shippuden. Skip the filler arcs. There is a website that details each episode as to if it's filler or not. Also there is a fan made edited version that removes all the filler and correlates each episode to a volume of the manga. Each episode is over an hour, some 2 or 3 hours. ButI dunno about the legality of fan edits so I won't name what it's called. As for the filler guide I was talking about earlier, here it is http://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/naruto-shippuden

Some people really dislike the manga format and I guess some also dislike the sub/JP VA and rather stick with the dub they grew up with.
Yup, the fan edit is well done. Btw I would recommend the Power arc for its great animation.

I'm only really like that with certain animes. The sub is perfectly fine...granted I didn't grow up with the show, so I can see why some people would be that connected to it. What's the dub even up to at this point?
heh, even a butchered novel plot looks several times better than your average filler.

For some odd reason I just can't yet. I'm actually hitting some of the filler that I missed while I was racing through this show. I think as long as said filler doesn't have a ton of Nardo, The Sauce or Pepto Bismol hair, I should be ok. Does Shikimaru get any good filler?

I think the hilarious part is the fact that the manga ended and instead of just animating the end, they just made up a brand new filler hell instead of ending the show.

Hell yes. Shikamaru became my favorite character the minute I saw his lazy ass. I was really scared they were going to kill him near the end of the Manga and not have him get a happy ending.
I had the biggest shit-eating grin when he ended up second in command to the hokage, getting together with one of the hottest girls in the story, having a kid as snarky as he is, marrying into Sunagakure royalty, and having Gara as a brother-in-law. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome!

That's unfortunate. The best voices are in Japanese. Orochimaru in English....ugh.
Jaraiya is my fav, followed by shiky, sasuke, gaara and kakashi in no order.

Netflix has non Shippuden, Hulu has Shippuden if I'm not mistaken.
