October doesn't make sense. Controller seems built and ready to go. How long would it take to build enough to satisfy demand? I can't se it selling a whole lot
Source is me. Either believe it or don't. If a mod wants me to provide a source I can but I won't make that public.

I wasn't asking you to make your source public lol but you did bring it up so some sort of verification would be nice if you know what I mean friend.
I don't want it to be that far away.
Tell your source to send me one early. Thanks.Source is me. Either believe it or don't. If a mod wants me to provide a source I can but I won't make that public.
Ah. Hopefully you misread October 6th for August 26th. It could happen.I saw it in a computer at my friends workplace. He works for GameStop. I will be there later today. I will ask him if it is okay to take a picture with my phone. If you ask me October 6th is too specific to be a placeholder date.
I envy those of you that will immediately play Dark Souls without using the claw grip. That's really all I can imagine using it for - binding B to something on the back.
Nearly every time I run - I switch back and forth. I like to keep the camera behind my character, so I need a way to use both sticks and a button at the same time.Wait...people actually use the claw grip?
Ah Octobaro![]()
Still, i get to save up and buy it.
Does the controller have a standard headphone jack btw?

will any of this new technology described below in the redesigned controller be inside of the Elite as well?
http://windowscentral.com/here-is-new-xbox-one-controller said:With the updated controller, in addition to the volume and mute controls on gaming headsets, you'll also have the option to adjust headset volume, mic monitoring, and voice and game audio balance through the Settings menu on your console. We've also improved the quality of audio coming through the controller and increased the maximum audio volume on headsets used with this controller, based on fan feedback. And we've enabled wireless firmware updates on the updated controller which eliminates having to connect the controller via USB cable to receive updates.
I'm still trying to confirm this information. Anyone know?
The second one is confirmed because I got a hands on with it at comic con.![]()
Did you update the firmware wirelessly? Or do you mean the improved headset audio?
The pad really is nice and it's great that MS are trying something new with their controller but come on $150...... this needs a major price drop or I can't see them selling a lot of these.

I thought the point of this was mostly to acquire the market share these custom controller websites are getting. Do they think they're going to accomplish that with brand name alone? They're the same price as the ones people were already making, with no custom colors.
If it were $100 I'd probably invest in one. I can justify a lot of game-related purchases because they're things that I'll use for years, but $150 is crazy. I like the product though.
$150 is really steep IMO. The only way I would even consider it is if they let you map more than the standard buttons (at least on PC). If you could have all of the standard xbox one buttons plus additional functions for the paddles then I'd seriously, seriously consider getting one. It needs more than what it is currently offering to really be worth all that extra money (don't care about swapping stuff and using the paddles JUST as a substitute for the face buttons), speaking personally. The additional buttons though would certainly do it for me. I sure hope they change their minds on that before launch.
They're cheaper with more options. Besides colors, the things integrated into the controller would push a SCUF designed one up to $250+.
I preordered a steam controller instead specifically because it DOES offer that and is more than 50% cheaper.
I'm happy for you
The price still stinks. I bet MS is making a killing on these at $150, whereas SCUF probably does OK to add the same at $250, because all of their stuff is made by hand.
I would be in if it was $99, and was fully remappable on PC (I.e. paddles used for additional functions, not just additional ABXY inputs).

Thanks.
That said I'd buy this too if it was $99.
Just curious but can anybody see the picture I posted in my last post?

ms controllers always go on sale so $150 is the first dibs price. you'll probably see them occasionally for 120 or 100 then go back to their retail price.
Yeah they are going after a niche market and coming in pretty cheap. There is no reason for them to lower the price anytime soon. People have already shown that they're willing to pay $200+ for a controller similar to this one.MS controllers are mass produced. Millions of them. This will not be made in anywhere near that number. I doubt there will be a price cut for a long while.
I feel like a dunce. Can you guys see the photo in this link? If so how do I post it? https://tx2axa-bn1306.files.1drv.co...SxAM8YIOI/Xb1 Elite Headphone jack.jpg?psid=1
