I have one pre-oredered with GameStop (UK) at £99
I also have an amazon one showing at £109 (although, I am battling with them to honour the pricing error when it got reduced to £75)
Hopefully Amazon comes through and honours, even if they do it at the £99 I would be made up.

What? No, the domed (convex) sticks are medium size. It comes with the regular stock concave, medium convex, and then tall concave.
Anyways, if you're not happy with the offerings we now get this
We will be getting accessories from Scuff for the elite controller. Different sizes and shapes for thumbsticks, paddles, dpad.

Holy shit, Amazon Canada is now asking $345 for it! Thank god I ordered a few weeks ago when it was still $169. Who the hell would pay that for a controller??
i'm sure you'll be able to snag one at bestbuy, walmart, or target on launch day... it can't be going that crazy.

I was thinking of trying to pick one up in a shop at release, are we expecting this to sell out and be in short supply?
Seeing how most sites can't guarantee release day delivery anymore, I think there's a pretty significant thirst for the controller. I know Microsoft has said they have been surprised by the response to it but I figured that was just typical PR talk but I wonder what the preorder numbers look like. It would be cool to see the Elite controller eventually become the standard controller.
Oh i know it's a hot item right now but stores always reserve a bunch for in store purchases on release.

is that what the bottom of the thumbstick usually looks like? because to me that looks like you can remove it. So, you'd be able to put the domed (convex) option on the taller and stock stick lengths! Given how everything is supposed to be customizable, it would make sense right? it would also help because you could just replace thumbstick pads instead of the whole thing once it wears down... please let this be true.

I just said I had friends who had had theirs reinstated, and I would be very appreciative if they honoured my order and their price. I didn't act like some entitled consumer and point out it was their mistake, I just asked politely.
It might depend on who you get. And I was successful at my first attempt, so I don't know how an unsuccessful previous attempt might affect your chances.
Also, I used the message function rather than live chat.

They announced 3rd party accessories back at e3 and then when quiet on it. Glad to finally hear more, but it sucks that it is exclusive (and that makes me wonder if MS got caught infringing one of their patents)
Outside of Microsoft employees, no one else has the controller yet. I would expect them to send some out to some websites next week though in anticipation of Halo 5.

Yes, you can swap out the joysticks. The controller comes with 3 or 4.
I believe they're referring to the just rubber top being removable, not the entire stick.
No. It's intended to be a high premium product.
It's also pretty freakin' useful. Customizing your button layout is one of the things I've wanted since the first Xbox.

All I see in that picture is all of the dust on the controller. That'd drive me nuts.
I do believe that is what my normal one looks like. For all we know, the metal actually shapes the stick itself and the rubber just snaps over it. It might not be as simple as just changing covex out for concave. I haven't seen anything about changing the rubber being a 'feature' and I feel like that is something they would highlight.
The fact that these things are selling out makes me feel better about pre-ordering it when I originally thought I was a little stupid to.

Got a relative who works for Microsoft, and he's gonna check his employee discount on the Elite controller. Wishing for 50%, but it'll probably be a $10 discount, and with shipping it would even out with Amazon or Target.
