I've stayed away from them after a bad experience years ago. Different situation though and terrible customer service.
 
Yes! Thank the Holy Savior of Gaming! Best Buy let me order one that will be delivered on the 29th. Best Buy wasn't my first choice, and it's not release day, but it's good enough for me.
 
So is there any where out there in the US that this is currently available? Online or whatever. Just looking for the best way to get one at this point. If it's possible.

Yeah I pre-ordered from MS store (online). I called and they said that it may not be coming until mid November (!!!).

Crazy since I pre-ordered it pretty early. Expected to at least get it during the week that Halo launches --- especially since it's directly from Microsoft.

That's pretty much BS for them to do that considering Amazon is shipping them on-time. Kind of infuriating considering when I ordered the site specifically said we'd get them on Oct 27 guaranteed...with free shipping.
 
Looks like my Best Buy is going getting enough to cover preorders. Not sure if that's going to be the same for every location. So if anyone is trying to get one on Tuesday, might want to call around first.

Well, I cancelled my Amazon order a few weeks ago but then decided, actually I want it through them and reordered on October 13th. I just got an email saying I'll be getting it on Tuesday.

Hey, just so you know, the reason I posted that video, as I state many times, is to show people that Auto-aim did exist, and how I wanted Valve to remove it. I didn't feel fear having any sort of advantage over other players, so when I noticed that early May... ish? I decided to share that on Reddit and also message Valve alerting them because I wanted a fair game for everyone.

Notice my video came out June 6th, and the patch came out June 30th. Yeah. I pretty much believe I got that changed, when the rest of the community didn't believe Aim-assist wasn't a thing.

Did I exploit it? Yeah, of course I did. Once I discovered that late May, I was conscious about it. What did you expect? Me to never ever aim over a smoke? I wasn't going to change the way I played avoiding smokes in order to be fair to others. I'll just report the issues and let Valve handle it.


Yeah, I deranked... 5 ranks because I had to adjust to a new playstyle. Right after the update I found myself missing completely by moving over people by like.. 2 CM. I didn't realize that 5 months of muscle memory and aiming where throw out the window and I need to compensate more, and manually stop over the target more because I no longer have something slowing me down and helping me.

Took me a few months, but I'm back to a decent rank I can be happy with. I'm still working my way up, and while I can't straight up aim-duel and beat a SMFC player anymore, I'm working to get there again.

I'm happy, now I don't have anything helping me hit Global Elite. ;P Makes it all the more satisfying when I do GE knowing that I AM good at the game off my own talent, and not the game assisting me.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up. Was thinking about calling again to get a possible explanation due to people who ordered from other sites getting the controller next week.

Turn her into a gamer like I did with my wife. Shortly after they announced it, she said she wanted one too! As I type this I am watching her play Guitar Hero Live and she is kicking butt....being that she never played video games prior to meeting me, it is pretty impressive to see her do so well at gaming.

lmao...it is like every other page someone brings this up.

I don't get why people think it should come with a play and charge kit. It comes with batteries and some people rather use batteries, others like using rechargeable ones like enloops and others like charging using a cable. Them adding the Play and Charge kit would of just added to the cost of the controller and it would of been higher.
 
Hmm. Asked someone who was about to throw up a impressions vid, told me LB/RB clicks are still there. But I thought that had been gone ever since they revamped the controllers somewhat after the first batch of launch ones? Damn.

Is this a joke? Can someone please confirm that the elite controller bumpers are the ones from the controller with the 2.5mm audio output and not the original ones?

You can get a set of four eneloops and a wall charger from loads of places for less than the cost of a play and charge kit. The beauty of them is that once charged, they lose little to no charge when being stored. You could leave a charged eneloop in a drawer for a year and it'd still be at or near 100% when you came to use it. So have two in the controller, then 2 charged, ready and stored for when you need to swap.

Question: can the paddles be recognized or mapped as individual buttons or are they mode shifters only?
 
I'm sure their function (where you press them) is unrelated to whether they click or not.

There's no way the bumpers would be the old ones, function wiss. New ones can still click too.

No, I'll clarify. I hate the loud click that the LB/RB buttons make, and I was hoping they would be gone.

I'm sure they are different bumpers. They look so much better. But I was just hoping for the click to be gone too. It's too bad but not that much of an issue, as I can bind LB/RB to my pedals if I play a game where I use them constantly.

If they require less pressure to use, that would be much appreciated too.
