I'm one that thinks it is overpriced but still bought one, because of an excess of gift cards at Best buy.
I think MS probably has ungodly offensive margins on this thing, but it does look pretty cool.
I don't really think it's a shitpost to say you think it should be $100. I own a few apple products but think they are overpriced too.

Pretty unlikely you can do anything with it on previous versions of Windows.

I don't know but mine hasn't updated yet which means it likely won't ship until Monday at the earliest.
It doesn't look like you can disable a button in the Xbox accessories app right now, I don't know if it'd be different with an elite controller.

Had this on order for 3 months with Amazon and cancelled last week. It is absolutely unjustifiable considering I primarily game on my PS4, and have never had any issues with my regular Xbone controller.

I ordered with Express Delivery and my order says "Estimated Delivery: Arrives on release date."
With all of the discounts, it was still only $143.77 with Express for me so I figured why not.

Hell yeah it is, eneloops kick ass, and that way you'd have some charging while you played.
The stand you linked to doesn't actually charge. It's purely for display.
For Halo specifically I'm thinking of remapping the face button inputs to the "view" button. Which should bring up the score board on a hold to display basis (hopefully not toggle), effectively making the paddles my only option.
That might only work for Multiplayer though, as I assume the new tracking gadget thingy Fire team Osiris uses in Campaign is mapped to view.

The one I ordered from target.com has updated its order status to "Estimated Delivery: 10/29/2015-11/03/2015" So while you won't get it on Tuesday you could get it on Thursday or Friday.
Considering there aren't too many options for ordering this gamepad right now -- especially at 15% off -- go with Target if you can wait up to 5 business days after launch to get it. For me, that's fine.
Since I will be using it only for PC games I don't care about the wireless. I may add the dongle later but I'm perfectly fine using it wired, and it does come with a high-quality threaded wire.

I just contact them via chat every time they do this because I always get my packages 3-5 days late, and every time they give me another month of prime for free.
I just want fedex or ups to deliver my packages, since that's the main reason I bought prime.

I believe after 2-3 late deliveries they will flag your account to not use the smaller carriers. They won't flag your account unless you ask and you have to prove a late delivery history.
I just saw this on an ebay listing for one of these controllers and it reminded me of the Forza faceted d-pad depicted in the OP.
I wonder if they're going to sell these collectable faceted D-pads regularly. Have they mentioned something like that and I just missed the news? The guy selling this (apparently has 3 to sell) said that these ones were only given out to E3 attendees.

Yeah I got a handfull of the Gears ones at E3 somewhere.. never saw the Forza ones though.
Would love to see more custom ones come out.. provided they're not prohibitively expensive.
