I'm a little worried, I preordered pretty much when they became available, and Best Buy shipped on Friday morning but it still hasn't had a single update through UPS. I may not get this on Tuesday.
UPS doesn't work on the weekends

Went to try and order a second one only to find that this sucker is sold out everywhere for its first batch. And some folks were talking about fire sales on this due to the premium price...ha. Can't wait for mine to show up.

Same. Microsoft store was the wrong way to go. Now I'm gonna get used to Halo 5 with my normal trashy controller and will have to relearn everything once I get the elite. What a stupid time to launch this thing.
No one knows how many of there are allotted for retail stores. All we know is that the first shipment is almost entirely spoken for.
MS store updates tracking info at the last minute. Everything I've ordered from them arrived when it was supposed in spite of the fact that it said pending or preparing the day before.
I'd at least call around to Wal-Marts and what-have-yous in the area.
They still have a day to get it overnighted to you. Got my fingers crossed for you MS store guys.

If anyone here works for Best Buy it'd be pretty easy to pull up allotment for stores in their district (gives general guidance). Stores should have them in their inventory now.
Load up RSS and punch in the SKU number. It'll say how many are holding for pre-orders and how many are available on hand.

MS store just confirmed that my controller is shipping. That's a relief.
Yes. Take it from me your muscle memory will majorly fuck up! i tried to go 4 buttons on the back on my custom controller, nope couldn't do it. my mind wouldn't let me.
i ended up with just one left back button for jump. this time i'm going to attempt to use 2 paddles since i haven't gamed in 3 months i'm hoping my muscle memory lost it all and i can readjust. it's a huge adjustment and i think one that people need to be aware of so they're not disappointed with this remote. it will take time to adjust.
the paddles on the back are huge for shooters. even if you aren't competitive the paddles maximize your overall enjoyment. the playability of certain titles like Titanfall, Halo 5, increase 10x. You're just able to do things quicker, and more fluid.
The controller is worth it, believe me.
If that convex thumbstick is the same size as the default i'm jumping on that. i really just want the domed stick for my left hand without the increased height!!! goddamn it they should have replacement parts ready to go at launch!!!

Amazon is 'out for delivery' so is on the back of a truck somewhere. It still says 'delivered by 9pm tomorrow' - it is only about 40 miles away, so hopefully it will arrive today.

Mine has just been delivered by Amazon(UK).Definitely feels like a premium product in my hands.Only disapointment is it didn't have the usb cable or the batteries it was supposed to have with it

Did you check the box properly? From watching some unboxings, the cable/batteries are kinda hidden, in a smaller box under the piece that holds the case in place.
