Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility on Xbox One is out now

apparently i have Sonic CD on my install list, i dont remember buying it at all. i know i had the PS3 version but not for the 360.

i checked my MS account transactions list and the game doesnt show up at all. i didnt purchase it.

unless if it was a GWG free game at one point, i got something for free?,lol. not complaining

I have this too and I never bought it in the past and to the best of my knowledge it was never on Games with Gold. So says wikipedia as well
Free classic games are always a good thing :)

This so much. As far as I remember, you used to be able to use Xbox credit to buy 360 games on the website so I cannot understand why they took it away. It's a stupid and annoying policy, especially when you have unused credit :-/

Competitors look in wonder as to why Apple is ruling the tech world. It's because things like this frustrate the heck out of time-starved adults.

Make one account, one store, and never ever make it hard for me to find what I am looking for and spending my money in said store.

I am suspicious that the songs in Wonder Boy (from SVC: Monster World) are playing at the incorrect speed

From this thread it seems that there are a lot of kinks to iron out.

Yeah, pretty much everything says "bundle only", and Xbox.com is hit or miss, mostly miss, on buying 360 games digitally. Weirdly enough, it let me download Mass Effect for free, and I don't remember buying it digitally.

Really half baked.

if you guys don't have this you should get it immediately.

i'll wait till it's on sale because i'm a cheap ass

Gears games will see a surge in population most definitely, I want to play Gears 2 MP but it was dead when I tried it earlier this year and was unable to find any matches. But now I can keep playing Gears 3 without having to deal with Xbox 360 anymore.

So a few of my rare replay games refuse to launch because they want a disc, some say update error.

hope this gets sorted out soon!

Nice to get to play Gears 3 again. I beat it before, but it was so long ago, I forgot everything about it except the ending so it's like playing a brand new game for me.

For some reason there isn't any button to download Stick of Truth. There's just an option that says "Bundle only" and when I select that I get a popup that says "We didn't find anything". How the hell do I download this? Am I dumb and missing something?

Rainbow Six Vegas 1 seemed like it loaded faster than my memory. Menus and match (SP TH) loaded reallyyyy fast.

Can't download GoW1/2 yet, have 3/Judgment from GWG. I have played the GoW Ultimate Edition (physical).

They've given every game except Gears 2 as GWG so far.

played a little bit of Gears 3, plays fine but man the lighting seems a lot more mundane, booted up my 360 and yep the lighting there is a lot more natural and full of life.

even the running animation feels a lot more shakier

Trying Assassin's creed 2 and WOW first impressions are very positive and performance is solid so far, playing this again is gonna be a blast

Played Gears 3. Definitely doesn't run as well as its 360 counterpart, but hopefully the emulator is a constantly improving thing that'll improve all games across it.

Are you looking in the store? If you own it, it should already appear in your "Ready to Install" section in the "My Games and Apps" window.
If you need to buy it still, you have to do it on a 360 or via the web store for now.

I just tried several parts of the Gears of war 3 campaign and it works flawlessly, no input lag no frame rate issues, just beautiful!
I'll just point out that early in the preview when the original gears was released the input lag was horrendous for me ( I'm VERY sensitive to it, I can't play Destiny because of it, even though most other people don't notice it at all) so yes, I was weary but now I'm just impressed, very impressed.

Currently downloading and installing 13 games. I need another external...

Should of just went with a big mother to start. I have a 5tb Seagate self powered external, so good to go for a long time, plus I got the Elite console with the 1tb SSHD. That sucker is fast. I cut my load times for Forza 6 by almost 10seconds compared to my external. I am basically putting all my commonly played games on the SSHD internal like ESO, Halo 5, Fallout 4, Tomb Raider, Forza 6 and everything else on the external.

Am going to test a few BC games and do some time studies on loading between the external and the internal one to see if it makes a difference with 360 games.

I own Beyond Good & Evil HD digital download for 360, but it is not showing up in my Xbone library. Is the introduction of backwards compatibility today a US exclusivity deal? EU Xbone here ...

Nothing is showing up for me, all the Sonics and Mirrors edge should be there but the ready to install list is nowhere to be found. I did do a hard reset but it's still missing

It showed up on mine (UK). Is it showing up as "Already Purchased" on the Xbox website?

So how do you figure out what games you own and can download?

It's in My Games and Apps. Go to the games section and scroll to the right (just before the giant store tile/icon) and it should eventually load up with all the digital games you can download. If you own the disc (and the game is on MS' compatibility list) just put the disc in and it should recognise and install.

No it is not US only. This happened in Beta as well. Sometimes certain games take longer to show in the que for download. Usually a system reboot (holding down the power button for 10 seconds or so until you unit powers down, then wait a little and turn it back on). I know that is what I have done when some of my games would not show.

Hopefully cod4 gets added.

I had to leave for work, but will check the Xbox website when I get home.

It actually worked when I searched for Beyond Good & Evil HD in the storefront, but no automatic update of my games list. I started the installation and left for work, so I do not know if everything worked out.
