Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

For those who care an NHL 2K7 demo is coming soon.

2K Sports is releasing a full Xbox Live Marketplace demo of NHL 2K7!
It will be up on Marketplace at 2am (PST?) Friday September 8th!

What you get:
- 4 playable teams,
- 1 5 minute period
- 1 or 2 player
(Xbox Live not supported)

Guess this means they'll put out a demo for NBA as well hopefully. They say the 8th, so we'll probally see it weeks after that. lol

I bought the game for forty dollars and don't regret it.

The single player is complete balls and the worst game I've played on 360 yet. But that map-maker is pure sex. PURE SEX.

i disagree... compared to NHL2007... NHL2K7 is kind of ugly. the players look like zombies and the coaches eyes are disturbingly red like he needs some visine bad.

the hockey ring looks better though... but overall presentation, animation and graphics.

NHL 2007 wins hands down.

agreed. NHL 2007 has the better demo. And what's the deal with the music in the 2K7 demo? Why do they have classical-type music playing during the game? I guess they are going for the whole going-into-battle feel but it is definitely odd for a hockey game. Feels like RPG music with hockey on the screen.
 
Im just downloading the 2K7 demo, but should be difficult to compare both games if one is a match and the other just penalty shootout.
 
So here I was thinking to myself that I want to get a new 360 game and remember that Table Tennis seemed kind of fun in the demo but I havnt played it in over a month. Alright lets boot up the demo to to see if its still fun. Demo boots up, I choose 1 player, China man VS English Black Man, Loading, then instead of starting a round of ping pong I get a screen that says"All good things must come to an end Please buy Table Tennis", then the demo quits to the dashboard. SON OF A BITCH! Alright, maybe I can delete it and download it again, alright, easy enough, delete demo, head back over to market place demo downloads. FuK ME its gone. Ok, maybe I can find it under my Japanese account, FuK NO ITS NOT THERE EITHER.

DAMN YOU ROCKSTAR, I was probably going to buy your stupid game if only you let me try the demo one more time. I am going to buy something Sega or Ubisoft instead to spite you! >:(

Nope, I just tried it and got the same bullshit.

I can see why they did it, I was never going to buy the game because the demo offered everything I need.

Sucks, but atleast I can get that harddrive space back now
 
that sucks... but I see why they did it.

I guess I prefer getting a full taste of the game for a few months as opposed to the gimped Madden where all you can do is run the two minute offense.
 
It was announced when the demo was released. It was time-limited and would no longer function after (I believe) August 31st. It's why I never bothered playing the demo.

I bought the game, so it's no big deal. However, if something like...Lost Planet did the same thing, bodies would get dropped!

Too true, LP demo alone is the best thing on the 360 imo. Surely they wont kill a demo until long after the game is out. I think its kind of dumb to kill off a demo just a few months before the holiday buying season, oh well.

i tried that w/ the chromehounds demo. Worked well until they asked for a postal code. I might've been setting up a UK account though...not quite sure. I basically gave up when they wouldn't accept any code i came up w/. Even searched on the web some, no luck.

i live in the US.

Go look up a random Japanese postal code. They're easy to find you know.

Just in case, arne, has MS ever taken a stance on us doing this? Slim chance you'll see this, or maybe it's just a test for the arne-dar, but I was just wonderin'.

make an italian account for European marketplace: "Milano" as city and " 20100" as postal code, in the others field write whatever you want :)
