Microsoft has launched an Xbox Game Pass application for iOS and Android devices. As detailed during the X018 event, the app allows users to browse the library of titles available as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription and download them to their Xbox One console. This means that, while on the go, you can set games to be ready for you when you sit down in front of your console.

I actually downloaded this before the announcement when I was looking to redownload the Xbox/smartglass app. It's nice thing to have to see what's on it.

It's also supposed to give yoh push notifications for new titles, titles being removed, game installation status (e.g. your Xbox is done installing) and so on.

I've been testing this for a while now via the TestFlight build on iOS.

It's pretty good. I took advantage of the 6 month half price deal and signed up for a year for €59.98. A fiver a month is great value

I've been beta testing this app on Android for a while. They had a survey and people preferred having a separate app that you can just get to. Makes sense I suppose rather than make the regular Xbox app more cumbersome to navigate thru specially for those that are not subscribed to Game Pass.

Edit: Apparently you always had the option to check your Gamepass with the regular Xbox app. You just go to the MS Store section and swipe until you get the Gamepass section. The dedicated app is more fleshed out thou with notifications and such.

Totally useless. They should just fix the slow mess that Xbox app is and add a Game Pass tab.
