Why doesn't it come in black....goddamnit.
Exactly. I'm not putting that on my AV rack with the rest of my black components. Scorpio better be black or I'm picking up PS4 Neo. Yes Microsoft its a threat!

Yeah but that's just their standard trade-in price. I imagine (hope) they will run a special trade-in promo where you get additional credit if applied towards an Xbox S.
You're right. Was hoping against odds the 2TB model might.
Probably offer a Elite One S down the road.
So the original XBO didnt have a button for power? What did it use? A touch panel like early PS3's? It's weird that they would go back to that as they are expensive.
When does the new controller go on sale separately?
Any videos of the stand being used or unboxed?
Yeah, I'm getting it but I really wish it was in black. Or at least silver/grey...I think it looks great and want it. But if I get it then it will be the only white console I own, sitting next to the other four black ones. For the sake of maintaining color monotony I'll pass.

I want the UHD player. Does anyone think i should just wait for the scorpio? or the neo? Will there be any trade in deals for the slim xbone?
Might be old news already but: https://twitter.com/XboxSupport/status/743593193413844992
No SSHD like the Elite. So HDR in a few games and 4K video - OR - faster loads with the Elite. For me, I'm sticking with the Elite but it's a tough call. Quality of life in a lot of games I play went up when I got my elite (fast travel actually became fast).
I'm probably skipping the Scorpio. By the time it releases you'll likely be able to boot a windows 10 PC directly to the Xbox interface and use it exactly as you would a console. My current train of thought is to get the S now for the 4k video stuff as well as access to my Xbox games and in 2-3 years build a PC for gaming.I want the UHD player. get an S and an external hdd. best of both worlds
Do you still need to be connected to the Internet, when you start the console for the first time, like you have to on the normal Xbox One?
No and yes. You need an Internet connection when you start the console for the first time. You can not play games until you did the setup with Internet connection. You need to download the patch before you can Xbox one games while being without a connection to the InternetWhat do you mean for updates and such?

If GameStop Australia is doing that I can see GameStop America doing something like $150-200 trading in a 500GB towards a S.
That circle aside, its a very nice looking box.

I wonder if MS will offer a trade in?
Perhaps for the Holidays.
I'm trying to buy this but it's not available on Amazon UK. Looks beautiful.
Probably if there's important updates.
Xbox One had to patch all the DRM crap they backtracked on so this will be different.
There's still no such thing as an offline profile on the One, you're still going to need to connect the S to the internet
Tablet or smartphone using smartglass app. The Controller can be used as well.So how do you use the ir blaster if you do not have a Kinect? Headset controls? Controller? Wish they had a built in mic.
