Yup... that's kinda my issue. They showed a lot of good stuff in 2020. Then we pretty much got nothing of what they showed then again. and now, this show I am looking forward to is supposed to at least have gameplay footage of most of what they showed then.

I am just gonna temper my expectations. Because I am at a place now with MSwhere even if they show something really good,I can't trust what I am seeing until I can play it.

That should be the case with everything.

Remember elder scrolls trailer? Same with skull and bones and beyond good and evil 2.

Unless it has a release date, don't get excited.

Can’t wait! I have high hopes for this one. I know I’ll enjoy Starfield, likely Forza, Fable and Avowed too if they’re there. Hoping we get to see something from Gears 6 as well. No holding back this time MS!

Curious: Is there any source for the $90 price tag on the Starfield controller as presently listed in the OP? The only thing I’ve seen was the rumor that said it was going to be €89.99 but then got corrected to €74.99 — which, presently, would be 80USD ( likely $79.99 MSRP).

If $90 is accurate, that’s a tough sell. I like it but I don’t “one-third-the-price-of-a-Series-S” like it.

I’m not rich but TOTK resulted in 2 new Switch consoles in this household so a $90 controller is nothing.
I hoped they would do a new Elite, metall housing would be perfect for a Starfield design

The controller is the price as starfield. But at least it's 15$ expensive than the regular controller which cost 60$.

I can't complain, considering I have 3 Xbox controllers (2 Xbox one and 1 xsx controller).

I actually haven’t bought a single MS game this generation, just been doing the Gamepass thing, so now it’s time to open the wallet when a game I’m really excited about is finally arriving. Going all in on whatever deluxe thing I can get and the controller was so mine the first time I saw it!

Nah the PS event thread was huge, but it’s cool to see that there are some Xbox people left.
I like Microsoft’s strategy with the Xbox+PC releases and save and license syncing, it fits me perfectly. But I hope they can release some big games soon, it’s been such a slow generation so far.

I have a Switch and PS5 and have owned pretty much every system EXCEPT any XBOX after XBOX One (that I ended up selling after playing the hell out of the master chief collection and forza horizon).

Ive been ready and willing to buy an XBOX for a long time but Microsoft still hasn’t given me a reason to. Im just waiting for one good reason. And dont give me gamepass value bullshit. I dont need hundreds of 7/10 games to play when Im busy playing 9/10 10/10 nintendo and playstation games. Give me some xbox exclusives that demand my time.

I dont give a shit about multiplayer games, team based tactical shooter bullshit asshole stuff, none of that.

Give me story based games with wonderful naratives that are exclusives. Give me the uncharteds, the spidermans, the zeldas, marios, god of wars, the HALO 3’s , Fables, give me any of that, and Im in.

Well, MS gave me a reason when they bought Bethesda/Zenimax, Obsidian, inExile, Ninja Theory, and Undead Studios. Problem is that nothing came out of it. They better fucking deliver now.

Sony has great reason to only show when they have something to show and to only show when its relevant, they can gain traction in terms of marketing and the focus is around the time a customer can take action. I'm more hype to see Starfield now, cause its coming in September (hopefully), thus anything else they show, I just don't fucking care lol We'll talk about it when its NEAR RELEASE and we can assess if its even going to fucking be good or not, as look at how many games had good looking trailers, but shit releases and spent years hyping it up, only to be let down, so I care more about what is closer to release in terms of trailers and demos as I can get a good sense of what it might be like. I don't now what to think about, lets say Sony Santa Monica's new IP as we don't know what it is, but if they reveal it 2024, release of 2025, why would it ever matter that you didn't know about it right now this year?

Shit, I was hype as hell for Diablo 4, was going to be a day 1 (life happens) and I held off as I just don't have the time, only to hear about all theses issues the game is facing. So I think any trailer shown is irrelevant to most consumers, if its not something they can play or do much with in the next 6 months or so.

I don't know if it will do MS or Sony any good to show anything off early JUST because, it makes sense show it off randomly, when they can give a solid window, give out good info or allow it to take over a media cycle. The issue with Sony is more so when they want to show it, I don't think anything is just not being made or something and I don't think any of us are really not going to play a great game today, cause it wasn't revealed 6 years ago when it was being worked on.

Gamers are more so into the relevant and its hard to build a marketing campaign over years trying to stay relevant in gamers minds. Maybe the Fallout 4, APEX random release or Hi Fi random release makes more sense for some IP these days.

I always watch the gameshows, used to love the E3 days, cringe comedy and the odd surprise. The last couple of yrs have pretty much been a let down, yet here I am excited for tomorrow, I have come up with a drinking game with my partner though just incase it is shit.
We watched the PS show the other week and other than 2 or 3 games it was pure dog shit, so for the xbox show we got a bottle of Jager and every time theres a shit game we have to smash a shot it. I have also chosen a few games that are unlikely but if they show then its also a shot, they are: Gears and Fable collection, Banjo Kazooie, Wolfensteine, Doom, Quake and Halo single player content. 1 last thing is each time big Phile wants to come on screen and chat shit.
Cant wait for it.
