That's simply a 1000 Yen eShop Card with special artwork. Nothing more, nothing less.

WiiU probably has the best console-box art there is. All of them have unique art, it makes them very striking. Lego City had the U in yellow legos. ZombiU bundle had a bloody U, stuff like that.

Even if the game didnt use Tanaka's patent pending creepy cherub/doll faces, they wouldnt show the characters faces on the box art.

The game world itself, is the the most major 'character' of this game, and is rightfully treated as such on the box.

It should have one of those "Best seller" ovals Nintendo used to put on GameCube games, even on first-run copies like Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and StarFox Assault.
