Which A) I think is a silly objection and B) Would have been more effective by restricting the height slider.
Or are we just going to go with criminalizing adult women with A-Cups?
Doesn't Australia already do that?

We're discussing about it, though?By that logic why even discuss anything?
Like OMG its just a game why can't I make a character with GG-cups who's 4 feet tall? Its just an Animu game right? What does it matter?
They haven't ultimately said anything, this idea of fear and suppression is some fanfiction people have created for themselves.

They put it in for their Japanese audience, ultimately nobody's been able to prove that it's what they wanted to deliver for other regions.

No shit they haven't said anything, nor will they. Do you honestly believe that a big company like Nintendo would confirm that they censor their games because they can't handle Americans (because let's be honest, none of these would be changed if it were just Europe) getting offended?
How do you know that? How do you know they didn't want to share breasts of all shapes and sizes with the world?
Tales From My Ass: Electric Boogaloo, indeed.
Again, all of this is some fiction you've invented for yourself. What we know is that they're delivering a different product for a different audience. This idea of fear, suppression, offense, and conservativism is something literally fabricated from nothing.

This is only a thing for games published by Nintendo, isn't it?Some of these localization choices are pretty fucking stupid. The first one I understand but the removing the boob slider? Isn't that a little much?
I should probably clarify I can't remember the last time I made a female character in a gamegame but also the fact that there's certainly not one bra size fits all mentality in the world too.
I can't help but wonder if these might impact some 3rd party relationship choices with the NX or something because of their... Odd choices they are making.
Developers are allowed to change their minds. We change our minds all the time during development. If we stuck with the first idea that came out of our ass for every game we'd all be playing Big Rigs.
If you don't like a game, don't fucking buy it. Developers aren't obligated to anyone's money and you are not obligated to anyone's game.
We're discussing about it, though?
Sure, but in the case where there is no uncensored version, should those games be forced to keep the content in the localized version? In most such cases, there was a version without the porn in Japan already.
That's absolutely true and fine. Why are we pretending these changes are a creative decision when it's very clear this is about appeasing the easily offended though?
Well, certainly not that it shouldn't be discussed, only that this is not really censorship. I'm not sure why you understood anything else beyond that, to be honest. Then what the hell was even your point?

They released a japanese title with a slider, and an American title without, they're literally delivering two different messages to two different parts of the world. I'm literally the only one not talking out of his ass on this fake issue.
Until you've actually proven this to be the case, you're just making shit up.

I'm unsure if you really believe this or if you just like arguing. What alternative reason do you think the localization team has for changing this?
We're talking about Monolith Soft here. How much were they involved in the localization? Were they on board with this change, or was it grudgingly accepted because NOA demanded it? We don't know these things.
So where's the proof that the design doc specified this was always intended as only for Japan?
You seriously, genuinely have doubts given the context of how American culture treats sex and how pervasively puritanical our views generally are? Really?
Come on, we can all put two and two together here.
Which is why calling it censorship is idiotic. We know a message was changed, and the content creators made the change with no legal or societal pressure- with Stick of Truth and L4D2 being the most obvious example of where this was the case. People are screaming fear and offense without having proven that any exists.
The onus is on you to prove that it was changed for fear.

Its definitionally censorship
Minor, stupid censorship, but still censorship

Oh definitely, which is why I'm still waiting for an answer to the question of should those games be forced to retain that content when localized? To be fair, most VNs that aren't actually Games About Having Sex, are improved by having their porn removed.
And that's a fair defense. In principle and theory, yes, it should at least be available as an option but unless such scenes are actually plot/character relevant, I personally wouldn't care much. This is also an issue where there are things outside the company at play, either laws or the fact that they just flat out can't be sold on certain platforms without removing the porn. With that said, I don't see much practical reason why both can't be offered at this point, either in a separate shop or as patch.
The onus is on you to prove that it was changed for fear.

No, it isn't. You're saying a message is being blocked or suppressed without being able to prove it to be the case.

You can use common reasoning. Look at the context of how the general climate is regarding this issue. This isn't a change in the game happening in a cultural vacuum.

Removing sliders from the character creator? Ok Nintendo, whatever.
Game still looks fun.

In the context of Xenoblade X, the boob slider felt out of place. It's a very basic character creator, with not many options. Especially not for the body, besides height I assume. I remember the male one having nothing, so the boobies for the girls felt tacked on and pure fanservice. Leaving it out definitely feels more right. It was either that, or give the male some more options too.
No, it isn't. You're saying a message is being blocked or suppressed without being able to prove it to be the case.
"This market doesn't react very positively to underage nudity. And we're freaking Nintendo". Unthinkable! If this wasn't caused by societal pressure in the west, then why was it changed at all? What other reason could there possibly be? Did they run out of space on the disk for the boob polygons?

Load of bollocks.-The character creator has been modified so that the bust slider has been removed and so therefore when creating a female character, all female characters created by the player have by default medium-sized breasts.
