After a great and polished coral effort like Sonic The hedgehog Xbox 360/PS3, now working on this... how do you think SEGA developers must feel...

Well, it is either low company morale or low self-esteem...

if Sega can con Nintendo and Bioware to do Sonic games (in Nintendo's case Sonic/Mario), then this can be possible.

Sega signs UE3 and Epic to do a Shadow FPS.

They sign with Polyphony to do a Sonic Kart driving sim.

And they get hold of Konami to do a Pro Evolution: Sonic the Hedgehog.

You heard it here first.

If you replace "Sega" and "They" with "We" it might look like notes from Sega board of directors meeting.

The modern history of Sonic is interesting: SEGA seems to be incapable of making a proper POLISHED Sonic game since the Dreamcast days and so they are just pushing Sonic into non proper Sonic games (Sonic RPG, Sonic at the Olympics, now this Sonic Musou, etc...) as if they had just given up making good, proper, well polished Sonic games that manage to evolve/improve in all areas games like Sonic Adventure 1 (IT IS A DC GAME SEGA!!!!)...

Having played Sonic Rush, I believe that problem is Sonic is not suited for 3D. If they tried to improve over the Rush formula, I am sure there is talent in Sega to put an awesome 2D game. It won´t happen, of course.

You do know Rush wasn't made by Sega, right?

Yes, because one good day Dimp decided "hey, let´s go to develop a Sonic game without Sega approval, how awesome is that?" :P

Sega is the one that must say "ok, let´s develop a high profile 2D Sonic game, here is the money". Still believe there is talent inside of Sega to do this, but I wouldn´t mind the outsource to a external team if is talented enough.

BTW, if this isnt formally announced by, oh, the end of July, the OP is permabanned.
Good call -- I was going to suggest the same thing.

BTW, if anyone is reading into my earlier comment (surprise), I'd like to clarify that I know absolutely nothing about whether or not this is true. :p I was just teasing the OP.

Is it possible? Sega is actually whoring out Sonic more than they used to.

Sonic RPG BY BIOWARE
Sonic Warriors and their Shitty Friends
Sonic Rivals 2
Sonic Rush 2
Mario & Sonic Olympic Games

wtf is this shit?

Square Enix whore out their franchises more than they used to, so does Nintendo, so why not Sega.

Dem crazy Japanese and they're franchise whoring.

Huh. I think the OP almost managed great comedy. The whole concept is terribly horrific yet strangely plausible. That's talent. He should at least be congratulated before he's permabanned.

If this is true, Sega can **** RIGHT OFF.
Sonic is the character that got me into console gaming, they can't possibly rape him anymore than they have already. It's not right.

I'm quoting legendary post in legendary thread.

Next for Sonic:

Sonic Yakuza (More F, M, S, P words then ever!)

Too Sonic (out next year, belive)

Sonic Touch (Only on DS. Sonic touches your heart? You can do lot more in return!)

Sonic XXX volleyball! (Less volleys, more balls!)

Except Nintendo doesn't do that much anymore.

They've been avoiding that lately to be able to appeal to the non-gaming audience, as seen by the use of Miis instead of the mario universe, and as seen by the lack of a license for planet puzzle league.

Mario is the only Nintendo license that gets more than one or two titles per generation, and many of them are mario karts and mario party titles, both of which I consider to be their own franchises now. You get about 4 sports titles per gen that could be construed as milking, baseball, tennis, golf, and soccer. Now that Nintendo has the Miis, I imagine you may see less of mario in sports titles now that Nintendo has an alternative franchise that makes sense in sports games.

Dinasty Warriors like gameplay I think, or Gundman Musou like gameplay, which is like Dinasty Warrirors with Gundams I think.

Mario Strikers?
Mario/Sonic Olympics?
Super Paper Mario?

I wouldn't be surprised to hear more Mario titles announced at E3, like Mario Tennis, hoping to feed off the success of Wii tennis, and Mario Golf of Wii Golf etc etc.

Grand Theft Mario. Oh, the possibilities!

Mario jumping through pipes taking mushrooms, with his koopa troopers doing a drive-by fireballing, while having his ho Peach ready for some 1uping in the backseat.

That would be awesome.

Though that thread was resolved in about an hour. This one is running slightly longer.
I thought this was going to become another cat thread, with a "laugh at me, I've just lost my thread posting privileges", but it looks I was wrong :(
