Your next-gen preorders, show us your goods GAF

Pre ordered and paid in full for a PS4. Will wait closer to lauch to see if there are any good deals on the games I want (AC4, Killzone SF and Watch Dogs, still hesitant on Battlefield 4).

Going digital on PS4 and buying Killzone SF on release day, plus all the PS+ goodies!

Getting FIFA 14 free with XBox One, will download Killer Instinct and will most likely buy Forza 5 on disc.

For next-gen I have my PS4 preordered for launch. No games pre ordered as yet, but currently looking like:
- watch_dogs
- KZ:SF

Not sure which one to go for out of battlefield or killzone. Leaning towards killzone cause I'm guessing that will look amazing, having been developed and optimized for a single platform and all.

Planning on sticking to two retail titles for preorder as there will also be #driveclub (#teamhashtag) and the housemarque game at launch through plus as well.

The housemarque game was confirmed as free with plus at launch right?
 
Just GTA V on 360 untill inFamous SS or maybe even Final Fantasy XV ( assuming TGS will announce the release the date for late next year )
 
So far I've only ordered a Playstation 4. It's a second shipment though so I won't get it on release. Also GTAV but that's not next gen.

Around the release of the PS4 I'll order Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14. That'll keep me occupied for a long while.

After that I might get Watch_Dogs and later down the road AC4.
 
So is it dumb that I don't have a single game on pre-order? I have day one Xbox One and PS4. I just figured I'd buy the games digitally. Am I fooling myself believing that this will actually work on day one?

You can always pre-order a day before release :)
 
PS4 System

Still undecided on which games to pick up on launch day with the exception being the games provided by PS+ (Driveclub and Resogun).

I think I'll likely upgrade Driveclub. The more I see of Killzone, the more I want it. I was originally planning to pre-order just BF4 and Watch Dogs but I'm playing more of a waiting game on both at the moment.

Basically it is hard to see at this exact moment in time, since we only know 'launch window' and not 'launch day' games. I get the impression quite a few third party games won't be able on launch day (such as BF4). I'd also like to see a few reviews for certain games as well before purchasing.

Either way, there is definitely quite a few to choose between which is why I'm finding it tough! There are so many coming out around that time.

EDIT: One other factor - we still don't know the price difference between digital titles and retail for the PS4.

Not impressed so far, 90% chance of me cancelling tomorrow in favor of an Xbox One or gaming PC. Shadow Fall mp at 60fps sounds glorious though, I will be jealous.

what's so impressive about the XB1? you get more value at launch if you went with the the PS4 and PS+

Wait...what? I'm confused. Why did you preorder a PS4 this morning, but you are "90%" of cancelling it already? That makes no sense. Why did you even bother pre-ordering it, if you were not sure in the first place?

I wouldn't call the XB1 impressive at all, but for launch I'm basically interested in Shadow Fall, Battlefield 4, CoD Ghosts, and Killer Instinct. I would take Shadow Fall over KI any day of the week, but the two multiplats get overpriced DLC first on XBone, plus the dedicated servers for Ghosts which the PS4 version may or may not also have. Haven't looked too much into the indie downloadable PS4 scene yet, though I imagine many of those games I will be able to play on my low-mid-range PC.

Because I said I would preorder if Shadow Fall multiplayer was 60fps, so I darn well did. But who knows, I change my mind a lot. Cancelled my Xbone preorder from Gamestop weeks ago.

Xbone with... Nothing so far :p Was planning on buying CoD Ghosts for it, but since Microsoft decided to delay it here in Norway, I rather went with the PS4 version. Not waiting till 2014 with that one.

Why not secure your console and then decide later? Better to have the option than no chance at all.

Yeah, I don't see the point in canceling now. Even if I was unsure I would still sit on the preorder until we get closer to launch just to be safe.
 
Myself, brother and 2 friends have all got X1 on preorder. Battlefield 4 multiplayer is going to be insane.

My PS4 remains though may cancel it waiting for more exclusives, namely infamous.
