Italians eat traditional pizza with a fork and knife. Learned that watching a No Reservations episode. Thing is, pizza is such an American product nowadays that eating by hand is universal.

Chicken can't be bad. You just can't mess up chicken too bad unless you burn it.

The white meat chicken typically used can taste dried out.

I just don't like to eat chicken that way. I like it on the bone, with crispy skin.

It's not gross, but to me, lean skinless chicken breast feels like a diet ingredient or something.

Chicken is fine on pizza but it can dry out depending on how you cook it. I usually sprinkle some mozzarella over the chicken when I do it. It's not as bad when the chicken is covered in some sort of marinade, though. $16.00 is normal price for specialty pizzas these days. Hell, I make pizza at whole foods and ours start at $14.99 for the first topping and then it's a dollar per topping. You would be amazed at how many orders we get during my shift. And olives being number three? I mostly eat vegetarian and I love a good mushroom/spinach pizza or olives and mushrooms. Kalamata olives are good but I prefer sliced black olives on my pizza, usually. Kalamata is good on a Greek style pizza.

Now this is my kindof thread. I run a gattis pizza.

For those that wonder pizza has become expensive because cheese price has gone up around 300% the last 7 years wholesale. Pretty sad.

1. A deep-dish pizza that's too big to eat with your hands is not pizza.

2. Eating pizza with knife and fork is like eating cookies or sandwiches with a knife and fork. You just don't do it!

You have never had true deep dish.

Love seeing deep-dish all the way down at number 4.

Nobody wants your glorified lasagna abomination, Chicago. Nobody.

you are now on my ignore list! >(

not really

Neapolitan > Chicago deep dish > New York style

Also, as a midwesterner, I don't understand this fork and knife nonsense. But cold pizza for breakfast is awesome.

Chicken is an incredibly dry and bland meat in and of itself. You gotta season the hell out of it or douse it in sauce to get any taste from it. On a pizza, it just saps the life out of it. You need some good greasy ass meats on their like sausage and pepperoni, not boring lean meats like chicken.

I got those today.

Alfredo Sauce
Cheese (Mozzarella)
Feta Cheese
Chicken
Mushrooms
Beef

Traditional-style sauce
Pepperoni
Bacon
Italian Sausage
Cheese (Cheddar)

You guys are so Americanized :O

Wow @ the amount of reactions of using a fork and knife for a pizza.

Eating a pizza with a fork and knife is like eating rice with chopsticks. Think about it.

Black olives are sacrosanct. Seriously. Those, green peppers, and onions are not up for debate.

Green olives are better.

I eat rice with a fork.
Too lazy to pull out the chopsticks

overrated, slow, and lacking both in ease of use and tactile sensation?

*is indian, eats rice with hands also*

pineapple on pizza is sacrilege, just stop

My diet is fitness focused. It's almost entirely lean protein and vegetables. I don't miss most of the garbage that used to make up my diet.

Fucking pizza is the exception. Goddamn it, is there anything as delicious as a big old slice of perfectly cooked NY style pizza?

edit:

Whaaaaaaaaaa. Hawaiian for life.

I like anchioves and pineapple pizza :(

I'll never understand people who fold their pizza. What's the rush? I eat my pizza flat because I like to take some time and enjoy the taste of it.

Folding your pizza makes it less likely you'll scald the roof of your mouth. Also helps keep the marinara off your chin.

I wonder how the people surveyed feel about BBQ sauce on their pizza?

A lot of my friends think it's gross, but every once in a while a thin-crust pizza with BBQ sauce, grilled chicken, green peppers, and mushrooms is too good to pass up.

When eating in a restaurant, I will eat with a knife and fork, everyone I know does, it's rude not to.
When having pizza ordered in at home, I will use my hands

UK BTW

Linguica is waaaay better than pepperoni. Just my opinion. Shame only the expensive places offer it.

People who never used a fork and knife for pizza never had good deep dish.

I'm sure I could still eat it with my bare hands.

As much as I love our pizza here in the East Coast, one of the best pizzas I've had was a super thin and moderately spicy variant from a small family place in Columbus, Ohio. I always forget the name of the place. My parents remember it. That shit was goooooooooood.

Although I loathe fast food pizza (Pizza Hut deserves it's own circle of Hell, honestly), Papa John's thin crust isn't so bad, for what it is.

You americans are just pigs. Fork & Knife 4 eva!!

Except when you have takeout or delivery, then you slice and hand, but when eating in a proper Pizzeria? No way, Jóse.
