Zooey Deschanel looks kinda bad without bangs

Bangs will make most women look younger. Also, something seems different about her eyes. It looks like she's wearing less makeup/faux lashes than she usually does.
 
Who originally coined "sharp knees"? I think I remember the thread, but it was so long ago... maybe even in the Gaming Age forums days...

I just think its odd to criticize someone for something when it can just as easily be applied to yourself. It's like a short person making fun of someone for being short. It's not jealousy, it's just a bit petty. Neither of you look bad anyway so I think it's a silly thread.

"He who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones". You sound pretty mad right now for me raising the point, so I don't think you take it as lightly as you like to think.

how can it be applied to myself?

it's not an option I made. I dont have hair, it's a fact of life.

if I was a guy who got a bad haircut then sure, i'd laugh and agree at your comment (while still thinking I can bring Zooey's thing up)

I'm glad you brought up the difference between a bad haircut vs hair loss so I don't have to - I don't believe it matters what the difference is. It's hair semantics. The point is that if someone makes fun of you for having no hair, or Zooey for having a bad hair cut, they are both ultimately criticisms about their hair in general, in relation to their overall attractiveness. One might be more of an asshole-y criticism if it was to Patrick Stewart since he can't help it, but that doesn't negate the fact it's still an asshole criticism to mock Zooey as looking "bad" for a haircut. Anyway, i'm glad that we could establish that we're both assholes - me for pointing out your baldness, you for making this thread.

man idk, im not being an asshole, I made a thread stating that Zooey Deschanel looks kinda bad now comapred to before, I dont know why I suddenly cant have that opinion just because life made me bald

To be honest these threads are always kind of hilariously gossipy and TMZ-like. Might as well have a celebrity gossip section where the next batch of "lol look at this latest female celebrity who dyed her hair, it's so bad." It's even more funny when you read other threads talking about how shallow people are.

sure, I wont deny that, but it's kinda par for the course on GAF so yeah. Criticizing it in a more general manner like that makes more sense

in my defense i'll also say that the pics really caught me off-guard. I wasnt sure it was her at first so figured it was worthy, not trying to make a thread about someone changing nail polish

You can make the thread and hold the opinion if you want. I'm simply saying that I disagree with your opinion that she looks bad and that I think it's a bit harsh, especially so when you probably wouldn't like something negative said about you for the same reason (hair).

I dislike gossip and celebrity threads in general as I think of them as just more famous 'normal' people. I'll leave it there.

It's a different thing. People wont look at me and say "you looked better with hair" because that's just mean, knowing I can't do nothing about it. I know that to be true still and I deal with it. Here we are just barely talking about a person who decided to change her hairstyle a bit and looks odd and unrecognizable. We are also talking about a person who had a very defined look for a long time and suddenly changed it. These are the reasons why I thought of bringing it up. She'll have the bangs back for new girl anyway. Im not making a thread saying "LOL LOOK WHAT THE FUCK DID SHE DO!!!!". You're making me sound as awfully harsh where I wasnt. The "no bang" thing was clearly a stupid play on words.

I always see people say that but it doesn't really make any sense. People have certain preferences and they find certain people attractive/unattractive. Other people agree or disagree. I think it's called "taste."

This chick was always pretty cute to me but these recent pictures make her look terrible. I have to be sleeping with a supermodel to have that opinion?

she's getting into her mid-30s .. even with bangs that doe eyed pixie look won't last forever. but yeah, those are bad pictures
 
She is on the Hollywood diet. Lose weight you don't need to lose. That's why she looks so terrible. Shame too because she wasn't fat.

Just the right amount of fat keeps you looking young forever. Lose too much weight and you age a ton
 
She doesnt look bad, but my god she looks like a totally different person for some reason. There has to be some surgery goin on up in that face.

She looks fine but like a completely different person. I don't recognize her in those pictures at all.
