Gun sound "perception" in this game sucks. A guy could be shooting at you in the same room and it sounds like someone shooting pellets.
Pause and resume my friend. Went from 3 hours to 18 minutes, and legit, it's going very fast now5 hours left..
Be forewarned: there is a period of acclimation to CoD. It's not unusual to spawn, die almost instantly, respawn, and repeat. It can be frustrating for newer players. You should still feel like you're accomplishing something though, since it carries a carrot on a stick in front of you in the form of EXP for the whole experience
Yeah, I've played COD some just since my younger brothers were absolutely obsessed with it. I'm not too bad at it. I kind of like the fast paced nature of it.
I probably won't buy this at launch, but I could definitely see myself getting this when it's like $20-30, which is much more than I would have said for any other CoD before.

Hit detection definitely feels good.
Just unlocked Care Package. Instead of throwing something down, you aim where you want the package to land.
The first scorestreak I got was the Guardian. What a great scorestreak. Glad to see it back.
Next I got the Rolling Thunder. Glad to see that my screen doesn't shake when I call it in lol. Don't know how the other team felt.
Damn good game. AW's movement is wayyy too crazy for my liking but this feels awesome.

I'm done for the night, but after two shitty CoD iterations I can finally say we fucking made it. I finally have a next gen call of duty worth owning and keeping. This is the holiday for all the PS3 players to make that leap. If they deliver on SP and zombies dear gosh. I can see this easily at least nominated for GotY.....this is going to be amazing holiday season GAF.

Yeah no clue why, but it works. Apparently pausing and resuming switches servers. You should also see it go up much faster now

Can honestly see myself playing this a lot more than I have past CoD MP suites. Last time I spent a great deal of time on a CoD MP was CoD4. Since then, with the exception of Black Ops 2, I've only spent an hour or less (or in Ghosts' case, never) in MP.
Wall running is a lot tighter for me and suits me better than Titanfall.

I realize its the "Honeymoon" faze still but this feels like COD has got its mojo back.

Tried pause/resume over and over, could only get it down to 4 hours. We have a 100Mbps connection, PS4 is showing about 25Mbps, so something's being dumb. Ugh.

Engineer is awesome! It puts a red outline on scorestreaks so you can see better as well as being able to see UAV's on your mini map!

Lol this works, thanks. I just came back from the movies, turned my console back on from rest mode and my download was still on 6GB with 4 hours left. After pause and resume it went down to 76 minutes left.

people think this is different than regular call of duty? i played for a bit. not much of a competitive FPS fan but i do love titanfall. found this call of duty to feel like all of the rest i've played (haven't played one since.... blops? i might have played blops 2 i dont know).... which is to say its pretty boring to me
in other words, if you like call of duty you'll probably like this. if you didn't really like call of duty before there isn't much to win you over here

There's one thing I already hate having only played 2 matches. I've died several times falling down some random ass hole in the ground, lol.
But otherwise it seems great.
Won't spend too much time playing the beta because I like to go in fresh as possible come Nov, but still looking forward to digging more time in tomorrow.

Well...yeah. It's an iteration of an annual franchise.
I'd say that since you aren't a big CoD player, much of the nuances and changes are something you won't notice. So on the surface every CoD is similar to you.
Let's see..after getting a few games in
1. You have no idea just how much you use things like boost dodge in AW until its gone!...overall I hate the boosting from AW, so I'll enjoy this change...
2. I absolutely DESPISE the lack of character customization...will this be changed?...complete leap backwards from AW in this regard...I'd rather go back to the old way where each "team" had a few stock looking characters...the fact that everybody runs around looking identical is REALLY gonna be interesting (bad) in Hardcore modes...
3. This is tied to the above point, but I don't care for the specialists being tied to a particular appearance...and maybe I have not found a specialist that fits my playing style yet, but I almost find myself completely ignoring the specialists ability
4. The gameplay seems great so far..its a better looking game than AW, and performs great..I didn't notice any performance issues..that being said I was spending a lot of time trying to learn maps so I was focused on other things...really need to learn some of the weapons so I can find one I like

There is no way that MW3, Ghosts, or AW are near this level from a gameplay perspective. Its the best COD since Blops 2

+ Advanced Warfare movement is gone, you're actually better playing this like Vanquish, sliding everywhere and shooting.
+ Map design is perfect.
+ Visuals look much better in person.
+ Hit detection feels good.
+ Balanced to a T.
- Weapons have too many drawbacks. Either too much recoil, fire rate that's too slow, etc.
- Sprint speed too low.
- Snow map not in the Beta after all(?)
- Ranking up too slow, while leveling up weapons is too fast

Didnt like Blops 2. Felt too much like IW games especially with TTK and eventually the sci fi theme.
But Im hoping I can enjoy it for good map design, spawns, and flow
Im a COD4, WaW, and Blops1 fan. Im open to change, but all other CODs just lost something huge for me
A.W, Blops 2, MW 3 all had too low of TTK and spawns felt like they made the kill-die cycle that much worse. I felt that games like COD4 and Blops were much more thoughtful
And my download just finished so let's see how it goes
