10./16. [NSW] Super Bomberman R (Konami) {2017.03.03} - 5,494 / 75,304

lmao

It could have been you Capcom. :/

capcom will still arrive to the launch party with Ultra Street fighter 2

I predict it will sell very well, for what it is. Just exactly like Bomberman

100k?

sphinx

I think 50k is more likely, but who knows? Maybe it will sell more than 100k

yeah maybe you are right.

Bomberman has had the benefit of being one of a handful of games, once it starts getting crowded with nintendo's own 1st party games, b-tier games like bomberman and Street fighter 2 will struggle to stay in people's minds.

Once the "amazing three" are in stores, Zelda - MK8 - Splatoon 2, nintendo will have the switch audience grabbed by the balls, on lock.

I wish third parties good luck, they are gonna need it

Amazed by Sukiyaki legs. It could end near 850.000 when all it's said and done.

On the other hand it seems that DQM has lost some fuel despite the re-stock situation.

I wonder how Bomberman is doing worldwide.
I mean the only guesses we have are chartz(which i think is much lower that what' its actual sales are) and maybe we will get more Konami IPs on the future.

The Nintendo NY store reaction video of the latest direct IIRC had the audience show audible excitement when Disgaea 5 popped up. Sonic got LOTS of excitement also.

They honestly weren't excited for all that much except those Smash Amiibos imo, where they went crazy. Sonic had decent cheers, and MHStories got at least 2 people audibly cheering.

PS2 Bomberman Land 2 14.968 69.908 Hudson 7/17/2003

It's currently 15th out of the 40 Bomberman titles listed on gamedatalibrary. Best sales since 2005 thus far, but soon will be past that. Next target is 100K, which I think it has a pretty good chance of hitting.

Can you grab the Puyo Puyo Tetris comparison please? I think you were the one who did before.

I think saturn bomberman is the one it has a good shot at beating when all is said and done

Can you grab the Puyo Puyo Tetris comparison please? I think you were the one who did before.

Here you go. Not much has changed though. Puyo Puyo Tetris for Switch easily became the second best selling version. I don't think it has much of a shot catching up the 100K of the 3DS version though.

3DS Puyo Puyo Tetris 42.096 104.044 SEGA 2/6/2014
SWI Puyo Puyo Tetris S 12.866 29.359 SEGA 3/3/2017

PSV Puyo Puyo Tetris 9.739 14.745 SEGA 2/6/2014
WIU Puyo Puyo Tetris 5.232 8.673 SEGA 2/6/2014

Could see it being in that ballpark at least eventually

I believe thats the reason they gave for the style change between Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword

I'm not sure/don't remember,
but yea if you're comparing TP and SS, sure.
BOTW is more western in terms of a non linear open world.

But artstyle? botw is ghibli esque

Unless there's info missing from the twitter line, neither seems to be confirmed. As in, SMT to PS4, and PRE:Fantasy to Switch. It just seems they were all in the same panel.

Re: Fantasy was never confirmed for PS4 tho?

Oh I thought it started from there, either way though I misread and was looking at this tweet (question) and response:

https://twitter.com/tononet/status/853082029277052929

/shrug

Seems to me, if that slide is the actual slide of the "announcement" that its "these projects are coming to Switch and PS4" but not specifically where for either, but then I am confused by Deep Strange Journey which is... a 3DS game?

Good thing no one would be dumb enough to post a thread about this random tweet.

That was fast haha. Although I did get a bit excited there at first, but like everyone else, found it very skeptical considering no content on the slide said anything of the sort. Plus it was a fan panel >_>... oh well.

Konami really hit the jackpot with Bomberman at launch.
Until the end of the year everything wil be clear for Switch, and not only in Japan. Range for LTD of hardware and how deep third parties are willing to invest on it. Last direct showed that strong start made already some japanese compamies to be more aggresive with their support.

My friend went to Akiba this morning and sent me a photo of long queue awaiting in front of LABI Akiba.

I found no clue from their website/twitter. Were they looking for new stock of Switch?

Weekend is when Switch gets big restocks. If they are a waiting for it there must be an announcement somewhere unless they decided to try their luck.

Thanks for the info, so the less Japanese game outsold the one so focused on Japan they made the artstyle anime to appear to them huh

botw was heavily inspired by japanese architecture, design and culture, i dont know what are you talking about.

LABI Akihabara sell video games? Don't they only carry PC and other electronic gadgets?

I haven't been able to find a copy anywhere in The Netherlands since launch.

Because it is not popular so the store don't stock it ( and especially people can always access it via Nintendo eshop ). Not to be pessimistic, but I doubt it sell that well in the west so it is out of stock.
