There's a great ffb thread over on their forums in the tech assistance:software area. People have developed a bunch of great tools to get it just perfect for your individual wheel. Definitely go check it out.
Ball park numbers though:
Logitech profiler - 100%, 0%, 100%, 0%, 900, allow game to adjust.
iRacing - 25 ffb, 15% min force.
If you have rattling find your app.ini and change steeringFFBSmooth to .990000

This improved the wheel a ton, thanks! And damn iRacing is too hard with g27 pedals, I can't make a turn for my life because the brake pedal is too stiff, it throws me off since I have to apply to much pressure to brake properly, I'm either braking to much or too little. But damn iRacing is amazing.
So anybody actually tried the Nascar game by Eutechnyx that popped up on Steam a couple of weeks ago? Could potentially be interesting but it's still too expensive for me.
They've been "giving away" keys every day this week on facebook/twitter but the keys are always invalid the second they are up and nobody ever claim that they have won so it's seriously starting to look like a rigged contest to promote the game.

You must not be familiar with how key giveaways work on the internet.
But I would also love impressions of that game. From what I heard the AI is terrible and will slam into at full clip as if you weren't even there.
Invalid or duplicate error? If invalid then key is incorrect, duplicate then someone used it.
Yeah it's duplicate, I know it's just because I'm not lucky but still, it pisses me off that nobody claims it.

Indeed Shaneus. ISI should grant Reiza access to isiMotor 2.5 ASAP as they'd work wonders with it.
What I also love about Reiza is that they work on getting every vehicle as close to reality as possible. The Mini's in GSC took about 6 months of fettling to get spot on and every car they've released feels sensational and realistic to drive and so do the trucks. No bullshit PR statements about being the best sim developer with the most accurate physics and tyre models as their sublime work speaks for itself.

I did a couple races in FTruck 2013, and it's a nice improvement. It just looks better across the board. My favorite surprise was the exhaust haze/dust cloud that kicks up at the start as you all barrel down to turn 1. It just adds to the craziness, as does the new bumpier track surface. Wild got wilder.
The game just begs for Rift support too. I have no idea if that's on the radar though.

I think I'm finally enjoying iRacing, so I decided to finally take the plunge and snag a refurbished Logitech G27 to upgrade from my old Logitech Drive FX (FFB didn't work). WHAT A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!
I'm sad that as a side effect I did get temporarily worse, first I had to get over the flood of feedback and now I'm trying to get used to usingthe H-pattern for the Miata on iRacing. Which is difficult alone since there's no feedback from the shifter if I've actually seated in the gear and the pedals seem to slide away from me when I lift my left foot.
For the record both of my cars IRL are manual, so I'm not trying to figure out how to drive stick (actually the representation of the clutch in iRacing is sadly inaccurate), it's all the lack of feedback from the other components...
...time to build a racing rig in my basement!

Yeah, whatever you have to do to keep the pedals from not moving, you must do it. It's the #1 most important thing. You might want to consider recalibrating your clutch to have a higher pick-up point too (don't depress the whole way), so you're using less force.

Just hope they find the time (quickly) to add that option to remove the "fictional brake-markers", cannot get used to them being there on all tracks.

No question, the corner markers need to go. They've got some good beginner tools already. Apex Hunt seems like fun way for people to learn racing lines. No need to make everyone else endure fake signage though.
The GT3 Camaros are good stuff. It's just a massive automobile, that's all!
SimBin seem to really be cranking out the content. It looks like they're in a nice groove.

well my 458 wheel arrived after a few let downs, ocuk had it for £99 but no stock they said they would be getting them but it's still not in stock yet, amazon said the 14th and £88 but then it never came into stock, glad really cos i ordered it from morecomputers for £71 
followed these two guides to remove the stock paddle shifters, it took about 10 mins and is really easy

you can definitely tell the size difference when you test it compared to the stock wheel, even though the 2 wheels are a very similar size as seen in the photo. i prefer it though and of course the moving shifters are way better, good buy imo

If I were selling racing games piecemeal, I'd make all real tracks too. I'd imagine they'd be much easier to sell. I love me some good fictional though. RaceRoom has a pretty exceptional selection of tracks, so in no way would I'd say tracks are an issue for them.
Like Watevaman, I really need to give some more time to RR. It's not the most hardcore thing I've ever played, but it's certainly fun.

We aren't allowed to reveal which tracks are coming but a few people have revealed upcoming tracks in the comments sections of at least two SimBin Insider articles. It is not hard to reveal this info when folders from another build aren't removed.

Much better sound on Raceroom. One thing I noticed on Project CARS is that they make the sound way too loud to the point of distortion, but the sampling it self isn't all that great. Much more real and varied on Raceroom
I signed up using a free Cadillac promo code. Last time I played iRacing years ago the game would not auto renew if you only had a Paypal account associated. So I stupidly only assumed that it would still not auto-renew. Turns out that added auto-renew with Paypal in last January (I was not a member at the time so had no idea).
My mistake I guess but still sucks.

If you enjoy SimBin's previous titles, you'll enjoy RaceRoom RE. To my eyes RRE looks a lot like NFS: Shift/Unleashed, the physics are akin to Race 07 and it has sublime sounds. RRE is a W.I.P beta; currently there is no public multiplayer and limited AI in single player. A few competitions are currently running with decent prizes and a free content to keep the community sustained.

Hey there, I work at Eutechnyx on the NASCAR game and can assure you that the codes are genuine, they just get taken very quickly. We rarely get people saying they got them either but there really is nothing we can do about that.
Am sorry if it looks like it is rigged but again, I promise that it is not.
