Fresh off the press. This was demonstrated live at a much slower pace showing off all the systems and what not during the live stream. This is a well cut direct feed version.

The video shows a team going out from their in multiple ships to salvage a damaged ship. Then another group shows up and a battle ensues.

The final moments of the Constellation:

Things you can see in the video:
-Localized physical grids: station has its own gravity, emptiness of space does, inside ships you have your own physics, etc..
- Zone system: no lag and no unecessary rendering
- Huge world: solar system sized map (here just a tiny portion of it)
- Multi crew gameplay: multiple people on a ship doing different roles (command chair, engineer, co commander, gunners)
- Retrieve, Recovery, and EVA: go out of your ship into the void, board other ships, get them in working order for missions
- IDRIS (smaller capital ship shows up at the end)

Likewise, here is a press prepared demo of the upcoming social module. Here you can see one of the first landing locations not populated by NPCs at the moment.

The commentary really added a lot to it, and I think there were better moments in the live stream. (e.g. the constellation explosion was better in the livestream demo encore)

The quality's definitely better on the IDRIS flyover here of course.

Live version has some more detail work, yeah, but definitely not as easy to watch for the unitiated.

But in this version the Constellation is destroyed instead of being heavily damaged. And that explosion is worth it

Nope, you are not, I like live version more, especially part where Retaliator cant quantum jump after Connie fight since it was damaged. Really shows how complex this game will be.

I have one friend with a VR-ready PC, he's been putting it together over the last 2 years from scratch in anticipation of VR. He recently got a GTX 980.

He lives 200 miles away. We are so down to go explore the galaxy together.

They all got into separate ships, then each traveled 3000 km via Quantum Drive (would take 3h under normal speeds) to a derelict Retaliator. EVAed to the ship, where one person went to turn on the local ship gravity and another turned on power. Two people manned turrets and another piloted the ship against another multi-crew attacking ship.

They destroy the enemy ship and quantum back to the space station in their new salvaged ship.

The livestream version, despite the jank, explains things better on account of them moving through the scenario more slowly.

There is a cool vid of a multicrew ship being destroyed from the POV of a crew member inside. Its a few months old but looks insane.

That's seriously amazing. Being able to play all of this with a VR headset would be quite the experience.

Yeah, they need to fix up some of the transitions in the explosion as well. Looks like it dropped a frame or two worth of info there with the abrupt changes at the nose.

This is my dream game, I want them to take as much time as they need. luckily I'm only in my early 20's so I "barely" had to wait. Some of you have been waiting for decades for a game like this, as it was just a pipe dream. I can only imagine your excitement.

I have a Connie with Lifetime insurance, hopefully I can find a crew among Gaf's ranks.

The Planetside module is just like any town in an MMO, you can socialize, trade, buy stuff, explore or hang out or whatever, the FPS module should be soon, no exact date is given but I think it's supposed to be in within the next month or two.
