As serious as that "this is your brain on drugs" commercial is, I'll never take it serious because Rachael Leigh Cook was hot as fuck in that commercial.
Those ancient drug PSA's are a goldmine for satire & ridicule, but I especially love the ones that try to toy with your emotions.

Finally that's one reviewed movie I have already watched. I think Dan Aykroyd was the sole reason I bothered to watch it too.
I'm still trying to process that ending.
He made a videogame vid about a month ago...unless you mean videogame reviews, then he made one six months ago. Which is still very recent on the jontron timescale.

Shit I don't remember anything about Christmas with the Kranks but I think my parents were watching it last night.
The movie now seems like an Orwellian nightmare tailored just for me. I'm the guy who on Christmas or Thanksgiving or Easter is always like "Y'know we don't have to do that. We could just...not. You don't have to buy the tree or put up the lights when its 20 degrees outside or drive 5 hours to visit family for one night." and eventually that started to rub off on my parents, but a lot of people act like not celebrating holidays is some sin.

Hell, I've interacted with them, though only once in NYC and about 30 times in LA. That's why I'm more leaning toward "real".

His schtick was reviewing bad humorous old games from snes/Gameboy and back. He might have simply ran out of material. Except on cases like when he plays banjo Kazooie nuts and bolts. Or, what's also likely, he doesn't have the time investment to make a video about games vs a movie. With a movie he might spend 3 or 4 hours going over the movie and editing out scenes he wants to include in his video.
With a game in theory he tries to get as far as he can which might be much more hours of play time, then more hours to edit footage. And ultimately there's plenty of bad movies to review.
Hell he could just start watching films that the guys from half in the bag have seen.

I think it's more that these guys have stopped caring about not posting these thoughts. Jon never striked me like someone who didn't hold these opinions.
He has most definitely become more overbearing. I have friends who think like this but at least theyre smart enough to know that posting this shit on a public space does absolutely nothing for their image besides ruin it.

I always really liked the guy. Some posters in the other thread said the writing was on the wall, but I guess I didn't follow him closely enough to see it. It's a shame as I genuinely liked his older stuff, and he was fuckin' with Ethan from H3 which made him that much more approachable. I guess I won't be subbing his channel anymore. I can't support anyone who spews that sort of shit.

Words can't describe how shocked I am, maybe it's because I never followed him closely, outside of his appearances on the co-optional podcast. He came off as nice, level headed and intelligent - wtf happened. I hope he loses his channel, his platforms and income, fuck that piece of shit. The thread shouldn't have been closed, we shouldn't be normalising people like him

I stopped following him and unsubbed a few months ago when it looked like things were heading this way. I was really hoping he'd snap out of it. Such a shame, because he was one of my favorite youtubers. What a waste.

Yeah, I won't wish any misfortune on him for as much as I want to but I definitely am very disappointed as a long time fan of him from before game grumps, during game grumps, and beyond. Really bummed me out but I couldn't ignore it any long and had to unsub and unfollow on twitter. I wish him the best in the hopes that one day he can realize that he should at least be a little more sensitive when trying to express his opinions.

Wishing death/misfortune on Jon over this is beyond moronic but yes I've kind of reached a similar point I did for notch in terms of 'I can't keep mentally giving this person excuses because I was a huge fan of theirs'. Like he's not even being particularly coherent in the streams he's showing up to argue his political views on to the point where I'm not even sure if he knows what he's angry at anymore.
Probably going to keep watching his social media accounts though because him on that Sargon stream (banning someone for spamming unsolicited porn at everybody is liberal censorship now I guess) talking about the upcoming Civil War the US will have with the 'commulists' is hilarious.
Like, if people want a legitimate conservative viewpoint in games, I'd say somebody like Colin Moriarty represents it with far more class then Jon's largely incoherent, pointlessly-confrontational ranting.
